It's about 30 min away from the cityPosted Sep 19, 2013
It's a ok hotel if you don't want to spend a lot of money to stay somewhere expensive

Just stayed for 1 night due to exchange of airports. I would stay there again. It is good value for the money. Friendly staff and several restaurants to chose from.

Comfortable roomPosted Jun 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good quality of service and friendly personal. Good size and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was really good. But in general hotel outdated and needs a lot improvements. 3 stars – the best rate here.

Reasonable hotelPosted Jun 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
There are MANY restaurants available at the hotel; the room was fine; the location was OK - there's a supermarket 5 minutes walk away and the Metro station is about 20 minutes' walk. If I were to stay in Moscow again, I would use this hotel if I could not find another closer to the city for the same price.

Selected for locationPosted Feb 22, 2013 on Hotels.com
We selected this hotel because it is close to family. The hotel is older but seems to be well maintained. The rooms are small but we didn't plan to spend much time in room anyway.

Basic Hotel in SW MoscowPosted Dec 1, 2012 on Hotels.com
This is a good basic hotel in southwest Moscow. The rooms are very clean, although everything is a bit older. Everything is comfortable but basic. There is a TV with only Russian speaking channels. The mini refrigerator is good for keeping a few things cool. The one convenience missing is a room safe, which would be very convenient for storing extra money and other valuables. My room was a basic business class single so higher class rooms may have better amenities. There are plenty of little shops, some of which seem to be open late hours. The money exchange is behind a sports bar but was only crowded once during the week I was there. Breakfast is included, which is a huge buffet with excellent food. I did not try the other many restaurants in the hotel. There is a business center if you need the Internet. The location of the hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the nearest metro, which was not a problem for me. If walking is not your thing, there are buses that will take you to the metro. The price of a room is very reasonable considering how expensive Moscow can be. The hotel staff were very helpful and there is always at least one person at the front desk who speaks English. This was my first stay at the Hotel Salyut and I would not mind staying there again.

Good hotel but a little bit far awayPosted Sep 25, 2012
Pros: Great breakfast and free WiFi available in rooms.
Cons: Distance from the metro station and confusing path to the front doors.
The hotel is next to busy intersection of Vernadskogo and Lininskyi prospekt. It is 20 minutes walk from / to nearest metro station and additional 25 minutes by metro to the city center. This is the biggest disadvantage.

We sincerely regret that you have had difficulty in walking to the metro station - we will do everything possible to make the route more accessible. Also we would like to inform You that in our hotel we have a transfer service To and From the nearest metro station. In the future we would do our best for that all of our guests were informed about this service. We will be glad to see You in our hotel in future!

Overall it is a 3 star hotel. Can't expect more! If I rated it, would be 2.5 star.
