Perfect Hotel! Location, Rooms...
“the best”
Luxurious hotel, very clean, beautiful rooms with the best sheets and comfortable bed.
“Beautiful Hotel in a Great Location”
The hotel was located very close to the Metro and just a short walk to Red Square. It was off the main street so it was very quiet. The breakfast buffet offered each morning included a good selection of items and fantastic coffee. Every night a chocolate was beside the bed which offered the perfect sweet before bedtime. The front desk staff was quite helpful and easily conversed in English (which was great since we did not speak any Russian). I would highly recommend this hotel to tourists or business travellers in Moscow.
“Nice and quiet.”
The hotel is very quiet. It's located in the nice neighborhood, appr 10-15 min walking distance from the Red Square. The building is old. Breakfast (included with the stay) was OK. There are many restaurants and grocery stores in the area. The hotel offers a free 24 hour parking.
“Excellent hotel and location near Red Square”
The Savoy Hotel is located a few blocks from the Kremlin and Red Square at the center of Moscow. The Lubyanka Metro station is less than 2 blocks away, and there are numerous restaurants and shops within two or three blocks. I found the Savoy to be comfortable and a little cozier than the nearby Ararat Hyatt hotel, at half the price. Although some reviews have mentioned slow wireless internet service in the rooms, I did not have any issues with internet connections. I would have no problem staying at the Savoy again, or recommending it to visitors to the central Moscow area.
“Very comfortable and nice hotel.”
Beautiful hotel and nice service. Only thing I wish is the room had mor convenient electrical outlets.
“savoy”
breakfast is not good, but location is very good, very close to metro, and kremlin and bolshoi.
“Do not expect any service”
The Savoy is a lovely hotel, conveniently located in Moscow. Unfortunetly the staff leaves much to be desired. Upon check in we went to the room which was set up for 1 person, even though our reservation was for two. We called the front desk, went out to sight see, came back, still only 1 towel etc. Called again, finally some service. We asked for some guidance with tours and sights, we were informed the business office was closed for the week-end and no one at the front desk knew anything about the city. There appeared to be no one in charge with the experience to run a front desk, or the knowledge to be helpful. Breakfast was included in the room rate and the buffet was lovely, except that to get a cup of coffee you had to flag down a server. If you want service, don't stay here.
“Elegance in a smaller 5 star hotel”
I stayed for three nights and had a great experience at the Savoy. Perhaps because it is a smaller hotel, the front desk staff could take care of everything, from arranging cars, tours and just being helpful with information. Even the serious doorman began to smile at me in recognition that I was a staying there after one day. While the two streets facing the hotel are just usual Moscow streets in size, the wealthy and govt. officials come to the area in their expensive cars and the Moscow police are stationed on the corner watching over things. A safe area even into the evening.
“Excellent hotel choice”
The hotel exceeded our expectations for Moscow. Since we didn't pick the most expensive hotel, we figured we were settling for less. This hotel is 5 star all the way. The expedia rate of staying 2 nights getting one free was a perfect choice for us. We just wished we had brought our swim suits to take advantage of the beautiful pool and spa. The distance was ideal for walking to Red Square and the surrounding sights. Only 10 minutes. I would definitely stay there again.
