Comfortable room and good location!

Posted Jun 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
As things in Moscow are generally not cheap, this was a great stay at a relatively affordable price. The room was a decent size, hotel staff were polite and overall service was good. The only slightly downside was the private taxi that was hailed down by for us when we requested for a taxi. Our private taxi was really rundown and the one hour plus journey to the airport was uncomfortable. Was surprised as I thought the hotel would have some standards imposed on the taxis that they would use.

This Hotel Overpromises and Underdelivers

Posted May 27, 2014
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in May 2014 while on a nine city tour of Eastern. Europe. We rated this hotel the worst of those we stated at which included some fine 4 star hotels. It was-also the most expensive. Room design was impractical with you needing a science degree to work the showers, the TV and the housekeeping system, on one day the maid failed to clean our room. The main bar has a non smoking section but the hotel doesn't enforce it making it a very unpleasant experience to have a drink - the hotel does not consider non smokers at all in the public areas. Breakfast would have cost us an additional 100 euros which was an unprecedented price, but we had a most satisfying full breakfast at a real nice cafe just 20m from the hotel for 15 euros. Overall, we wouldn't stay here again, it's far too expensive for what is offered.

Excellent location for Moscow

Posted Apr 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is conveniently located on the main street of Tverskaya which is within 25-min walking distance to Kremlin and Red Square (which we why we went there three times to take pictures!). It is also accessible to other areas of Moscow through multiple metro lines from nearby stations, alll within 10 min walk. The neighbourhood is a little quiet at night but it is very closed to famous restaurants such as Cafe Pushkin and Turandot. The only improvement I'll recommend is for the concierge to be more knowledgeable about the ticketing arrangements at the Kremlin which is extremely confusing. We would have saved a lot of time if we had known some of the tips earlier. Overall I'll certainly recommend the hotel to others.

Stayed three nights last week. Everything your expect from a 5 star hotel. No complaints and definitely much better than Marriot just down the road. Will be staying there again.

All you could need for your Moscow vacation

Posted Jan 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
We had an excellent stay just after New Year in what is a quiet time of year in Russia. The staff on reception were welcoming and efficient, the rooms on the 4th floor were comfortable, modern and regularly ccleaned. Free wifi was appreciated as was the FREE mini bar (beer water and biscuits. Breakfast was comprehensive and tasty. Best of all was Evgeny the concierge who was the best I have come across. Patient and helpful, with top suggestions and booking some excellent local restaurants. All in all a truly memorable stay in an exciting city.

Dear Valued Guest, Thank you very much for your stay with us at the InterContinental Moscow Tverskaya Hotel and for posting your feedback. Thank you for sharing comments about the 1 pair of slippers and 1 bathrobe, this is taken on board for our improvement. Regarding the extra bed, our room capacity is for 2 guests, if additional bed is needed, this service is provided at the cost of 1770 rubles. Baby cots are provided on a complimentary basis. We will emphasize on clarification during the reservation to avoid such disappointment at the moment of check-in. We are looking forward to welcoming you back during your next trip to Moscow.
