“Very impressed”

We thought the location, amenities (which included a disco bar with a D.J. who sang) friendliness of the staff and overall appearance of the hotel was great. In Russia the hotel staff don't often speak much English which can be a problem but the staff at Maxima spoke excellent English and were most helpful. It was very nice for the money.

Area recommendations

We stayed here because it was closer to the airport, but that really didn't matter because everything was atleast an hour from the airport., We did not see any of the sites nearby since it was our last night coming back into Moscow and we were leaving early the next day.

“Nice hotel, friendly staff”

Entrance to the hotel is located right next to metro station, which is very convenient. It is also on the same line with Belorusskaya station which makes transfer to Sheremetyevo airport a breeze.Neighbourhood is hardly glamorous, just your regular urban scene. Hotel is located on the top floors of a high rise. Very clean smaller rooms with extremely comfortable beds. Cheap in-room mini-bars. No coffee makers. Awesome continental breakfast. We highly recommend the place.

Area recommendations

Moscow is erratic in the sense that there was no building covenenat until later in the last century. I'd recommend to see the center, University area, Zagorsk, etc. Too much to list. Make sure you have a few days to spare as it is a large town and is best explored on foot.
