“Great Hotel in a very busy city!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. They were quick to help us to our room, brought hot water when we needed it for our newly adopted kiddos, and they offered to help us any way they could. Excellent customer service and very nice room!

satisfying stay, hotel appeared to be totally together, well organized, fine breakfast and other meals available (breakfast ample and tasty), nicely but simply decorated, comfortable and reasonably large bedroom, very modern bathroom, everything spanking clean, quiet, walking distance of red square and rr station to st. petersburg, good service (carrying, storing bags, apart from that asked nothing of staff), easy to use wifi, no problems re payment or anything else, not a lot of glitz but no glitz was expected or required.

“A very comfortable place to stay”

The service from the friendly, English-speaking staff at the Sretenskaya was excellent. The hotel is conveniently located for Metro travel to all areas of the city and for airport connections. The only drawbacks for some travellers may be that there is no lift (but we were offered help with our luggage) and the street outside is quite busy (and therefore noisy) until the early hours as there are some restaurants and bars in the area. Also, there are no facilities for making tea/coffee in the room. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

“Very nice”

I was in Moscow for one day after a trip to Siberia. The accommodations were nice, there's a somewhat kitschy but fun wintergarden bar area, the breakfast restaurant was nice, the food good. The only complaint I can think of is that the breakfast service wasn't first-rate, but not terrible either. I'd definitely stay there again if I go back to Moscow.

“An Oasis in Moscow!”

We loved this hotel - it was our first time in Moscow, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They went above and beyond for us. The breakfast is SO good, the restaurant is beautiful, the beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean - what more could you ask for in a hotel? We can't praise them enough. Also, the hotel is an easy 20 minute walk to Red Square, and countless restaurants, attractions, nightlife etc. Close enough to be accessible, even in the snow, but far enough away that it isn't loud.

“Budget Hotel in Moscow”

This was a very friendly, budget conscience hotel. The staff spoke English, a rarity in this part of Moscow, and the service quick. They were able to make taxi arrangements for the airport for me which was a plus. The hotel was in a neighborhood with decent bars and restaurants. Prices were at or below NYC standards. The bar in the hotel was convenient, but only open until 11 pm whereas the surrounding bars were open until 3am or later. The bartender was really nice and anxious to try out the little English he knew. My double espresso was ready every morning that I came downstairs. The decor of the hotel wasn't very up to date, but it was comfortable. The atrium in the bar area was kind of hokey with the fake rocks. However, my room faced inside the atrium and I was grateful since the noise level on the street can be high during the day. My room was comfortable for this price. Imagine staying at your grandmother's house. The bathroom was clean, but the shower was almost an afterthought considering it was so small. But there was hot water which can be an issue in some Moscow neighborhoods. The Metro was only 4 blocks away. Since it's only about $1.00 to go one way anywhere on the Metro system, it was very reasonable and reliable. Only 4 stops (with one transfer) to Red Square. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.
