Moderate value standard hotel

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: The bed
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Anything water related. Wine-tasting. Concerts at the Gorge.
The room and king bed were large, with all the expected facilities. Great pillows and a good mattress. The wireless internet did drop out a couple of times, but the signal strength was good when it worked. When I first turned on the tap in the bath, a clump of hair fell out, but that was the only issue I found. While I'm not surprised the cleaning staff don't inspect up inside the taps, it does imply that water isn't used to clean the bath between guests. The breakfast was the usual low quality I have come to expect from hotels of this class and price range. If you don't like waffles, there's not much else, only the standard choice of three or so cereals.

Not a bad overall hotel. Easy access off the freeway. Had a good little breakfast joint in nearby parking lot.

Comfy Bed-Cool Room

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Easy to book a room - right off freeway - halfway to our destination - reasonable price - pleasant desk clerks.
Location: Chevron station across street - we left at the crack of dawn - so did not explore surroundings
Arrived there very weary - glad to discover a clean, cool room with a most comfortable bed!

Horrible!

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
We checked in late to find no towels. The trash can was full. The bed was made but they never put clean sheets on it. They had one bar of soap to share between the shower and sink. They had a coffee machine but no packets of coffee. After My Wife went to the front Desk She returned 20 minutes later and We had to make our own bed! We have stayed at a lot of Hotels through the Years and have never had any problems until this one. One thing is for sure We will never stay at a Shilo Inn. And last but not least when We arrived and tried to call the Front Desk the phone didn't work! TERRIBLE STAY! WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!

Pros: 24 HOUR POOL AND SPA AND THE STAFF
I USUALLY LOVE SHILO INNS BUT NOT THIS ONE. IT SEEMED LIKE THEY BOUGHT IT FROM ANOTHER CHAIN AND JUST PUT THE SHILO NAME ON IT. DUE TO THIS DISAPPOINTMENT, I WILL NOT STAY AT ANY OF THEIR INNS IN THE FUTURE. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL. SPEND LESS AND STAY SOME WHERE ELSE. I WAS A FAN OF SHILO INNS BUT NOT ANY MORE!

It's an older building with all stairs , it can make it hard to get you things in. Our room was clean and we slept well. The location is easy to get to off the highways, you have gas stations and resterurants and shopping close by. We will be back thank you for your service.

Nice and clean

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Clean and staff are accomodating. I wish there's more protein on the breakfast menu. Hot waffle was good! Microwave in the room was good too.
Cons: New and slightly bigger TV
I always stay at Shilo Inn wherever it is available. The place is nice and clean. The staff are welcoming and acoomodating! The only thing I don't like is I can hear the shower and toilet from the next room. It would be nice also to change and update the TV set.

Pleasant staff

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: The staff is personable and competent. The rooms are clean and very large, and the beds comfortable. It was a pleasant night.
Cons: Shilo should spend some serious money to refurbish this facility to make it look fresh and cared for.
Location: Located conveniently by the freeway, but quiet enough.
The check in was efficient. One of the rooms reserved for our group had to be cancelled due to illness, and the staff was very helpful. This hotel is dated. Updates to the carpet, paint, wallpaper and woodwork are needed. The televisions are antiques. The breakfast area is inadequate. Breakfast is served in a tiny room that is crowded and airless. We had no breakfast as we couldn't get across the room to reach it.
