Beautiful inn near hiking and The DistilleryPosted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Grounds Cozy room Excellent breakfast
Location: Moss Beach Distillery James Fitzgerald Marine Reserve
Seal Cove is a lovely small inn right next to a nature preserve and walking trails. It was beautifully appointed and breakfast was fresh, everything home-made, and quite exceptional. It is also walking distance to Moss Beach Distillery so it was perfect for a weekend getaway on the coast. My only criticism is that it's pretty pricey for the area.

Very nice placePosted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. The location is wonderful for a romantic getaway.
Cons: The only recommendation I would make would be to have a loveseat by the fireplace in the room instead of the single chair.
Location: Lots of things to do. Great seafood restaurants nearby and a beautiful nature preserve with excellent walking paths adjacent to the hotel property.
We checked in on a Friday evening for a romantic weekend getaway for her birthday on Sunday. It was great.

good stayPosted Nov 21, 2013
Pros: Breakfast, wine tasting and snack The environment, including garden and common area Check out time at noon
Cons: bathroom should be renovated
Location: Hiking, cycling, seal watching at the bluffs near the inn. Don't miss James V. Fitzgerald Marine Reserve.
Everything is good, except the bathroom is a bit old, and not as clean as other part of the inn. It should be renovated. But it is still recommended.

Great Staff!! The Chef is a great find! My wife and I will be back. I rarely see an attention to comfort, hospitality and fantastic imagination in cuisine. Hats off to the owner and staff at the Seal Cove Inn. Simply beautiful.

Great locationPosted Oct 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
Fantastic location and lots of potential for this Inn, however it is dated and under new ownership so time will tell how they realize the potential fully. We had an upstairs room with private balcony, room was sparsley furnished, carpets were clean but obviously past their best, threadbare in places but not as bad as the carpet on the stairs. No blackout curtains and no curtains at all on the small triangular window above the balcony doors, so if you want to sleep in make sure you have an eye mask.

Fantastic hotel what a great find!Posted Sep 30, 2013
Pros: Everything it was absolutely first class
Location: Close to the beach where seals bask in the sun, only 30 minutes from San Francisco.
From start to finish we had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff could not have done more to make us feel welcome. Our upstairs room was lovely with it's own balcony and fireplace. The bathroom was stocked with fantastic beauty products. Soft drinks were available free of charge in a fridge on the first floor you could just help yourself, hot drinks were available all day from the dining room again free of charge and there were always cookies laid out too. The breakfast menu was superb which varied every day and was prepared by a chef who obviously took great care in giving the guests something special to eat. The gardens are a delight to look at and the place is very well maintained and only a short walk to the beach. Just a lovely, relaxing, nice place to stay,

Overall experience was wonderful.Posted Sep 19, 2013
Pros: The staff, the garden, the room!!
Location: You can hike, or take the bike to the harbor. Plenty of places to eat that are close by.
We had a great time at the Inn. Took advantage of the bikes they offer and enjoyed a wonderful sunny day at the harbor. The staff is so pleasant and so helpful. It's wonderful that it's so close to the beach. The trail is great, the trees are wonderful. My husband and I hope to be back soon!
