The mattress was hard and uncomfortable.

Needed a clean place to stay on our way to the beach and this was a great spot. Very clean, comfy beds and pillows and hot water. No frills like a $200 place but fit our needs for an overnight stop.

“Good value, comfortable hotel”

Microtel is a decent budget option in Mount Airy. The suitelike (fridge, microwave, kitchen counter and small living room area) rooms are comfortable and clean. The location, near a major intersection, was convenient. The staff, especially the manager, were nice. The manager warned me to get dinner before 9:30 pm..; otherwise most restaurants would be closed. Two quibbles: The indoor pool was closed and looked unlikely to open any time soon. And the complimentary breakfast was lame.

Very good basic motel. Our room was very clean and comfortable however their breakfast selection was very limited.

“Nice motel for couples minvacation or business”

The room was spacious and clean. It was located within 5 minutes of a variety of resturants. The only thing that oculd be improved is the continental breakfast, very limited. Staff was friendly. Was only there for 1 night, but would have been fine for an extended stay.

LOVED the design of the room with the kitchenette between the 2 queen beds. Gave some privacy to each bed. Window seat a pleasant surprise. Wish the blanket and bedspread had been updated to the newer white covered comforters in many motels nowadays. There was hair stuck in the blanket. It had been washed. Hair just sticks to that material. Also, the little amenities like shampoo, etc., were a little scarce. Didn't receive any for second night's stay until we asked.

“A Very Clean Hotel!”

Just wanted a clean place to sleep that didn't cost a fotune and got it. Extremely clean room including the bath room. Air conditioner ran quietly. The beds weren't the quailty of the big chain motels, but they were ok. And again they were clean. If in the area again, I will stay there again.
