“Designed for the designer not the guest.”

Great "urban-chic" decor & atmosphere. However,"convenience store" layout of food offerings distracts.Pinhole light bar counter hard to look at w/out getting blurry-eyed & that's before cocktails! Room is major disappointment. Where to begin?! - control for bedside lighting is in entry/bathroom area - no phone near bedside, only across room - no dresser only open cubbies - closet is another cubbie, curtain door, & allows for the length of a suit jacket, can't hang a dress or trousers straight - bedside outlets low to floor, so you kneel to plug in - no ice and/or vending on floor, must go to lobby - cups in room unsanitary, not wrapped, & provided 2, not per person, per day - bedside clock has bright light displaying time, need to turn away to sleep so cant' see time - door closures an issue as doors slam shut...all day & night - shower door in wrong spot, must reach through middle vs. near controls getting wet with hot /cold water before you adjust to proper temp - shower wall is opaque window, visible from bedroom - no privacy as room door opens into dressing area Could go on, you get the point. Basically, very impractical for experienced traveler's needs. Also, staff needs retraining in proper guest service. It's like they're doing you a favor every time they did something. Seemed to be more interested in hanging out with each other or socializing with guests vs servicing them. Stayed here with over the weekend, 9 of us in total. None of us plan to return.

“little getaway”

I frequent many Aloft hotels and this one is okay. Location of the hotel was easy to get to. Construction in surrounding area but not noisy. Enjoyed having the Bob Evans restaurant across te street and the Cracker barrel about 1 mile away. Staff was very friendly and rooms were well kept. Did not get to enjoy the pool this time but from the looks of it it seemed well kept. If I am every back in the area I will stay here again.

“Really cool, different, comfortable place”

Only stayed overnight but the staff was very welcoming and very attentive and nice. Rooms were clean an comfortable. Close to everything, located on main road. Cool look and design. Very modern. Nice bar and live music on weekends. Would 100% stay again. I highly recommend this new fun hotel.

“Funky groovy hotel”

I found the Aloft refreshing. Aimed toward younger clients it reminds me of youth hostels in Europe. It meant to meet and have fun with friends. Staff is very nice, however don't expect room service.

“evacu-cation”

We selected this hotel as our destination for a mandatory evacuation resulting from Hurricane Irene. It was our choice because of location and its dog-friendly policy. The courteous, helpful staff made this very upsetting situation more manageable, and we actually had a great time during our stay. We would recommend this property to others, especially those traveling with dogs.

Area recommendations

There is plenty of great shopping and dining in the Cherry HIll and Marlton areas. We found a great bowling alley in Mt. Laurel.

“What a Great Experience!!!”

Had to evacuate our home because of Hurrican Irene and found the Aloft by chance. Such a nice hotel!!! The rooms were sooooo comfy, everything was really beautiful. the pool was a little small, but it was still good. Close to stores and restaurants. I really liked how the lobby had games for people to play!! They are pet friendly too! Would definitely stay there again! :)

“Loved it...will definitely stay there again next time we go to Philly!”

Everything was wonderful, the hotel was beautiful, clean, modern...very close to Philly. We couldn't believe how inexpensive such a great hotel was. One thing I wasn't pleased with was we had made arrangements to check out an hour later and the guy behind the counter was great about it and even said it wouldn't cost us extra but then in the morning an hour before even the normal checkout someone started knocking on our door, first it was housekeeping and I had said we were checking out at 12 (this was now 10) then I got who I thought was a manager within the hour again at the door asking if we were checking out at 12 and I had told her I made arrangements...then within the next hour I had someone else knock on the door and after that the same manager came back 20 minutes before I was supposed to check out to make sure I was leaving at 12...very annoying!! Then I go downstairs to check out and she was there and smiled and said, sorry to be so annoying...really, there was no reason for that! Apart from her, the stay was really great and you can't beat the price for this beautiful hotel...and just 10 or so miles out of Philly, you can't go wrong!
