“Very conveniently located next to CMU”

This hotel was very conveniently located next to CMU, lots of restaurants, and a variety of shopping. It was clean, well-appointed, and the service was good.

“Not the best room...”

The refidgerator, TV, and Micro were hooked to a loose cord; they shorted out. We wiggled the cord and they came on. That, to me, is a fire Hazzard!!! Also, the Bathtub failed to drain during a shower. Overall; the room was clean and efficient.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

My husband and I needed a place to stay near Central Michigan University for his sister's graduation. We selected The Comfort Inn because of the close proximity to the college. We had never stayed in a Comfort Inn before but we were pleasantly surprised. The room was outdated but very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The free breakfast is amazing with fresh hot waffles included! The pool seemed to be nicely maintained and looked clean. If we needed to be in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan again we would definitely go back to this establishment.

“so so”

Rooms were nicely furnished but hotel overall was rather dated and shabby. Room had maintenance problems that required a move in the middle of the night. When we tried to report the problems the phone in the room did not work making it necessary to go to the desk to report the problems. The night desk clerk was helpful and accommodating and promptly moved us to a functioning room. I thought some discount or upgrade would have been appropriate to make up for the inconvenience for a middle of the night room change.

“When enjoy going there it is close to the the university.”

Paid for a room with a hot tub. Got charged for a room with a hot tub. Recieved no hot tub. If you use Expedia double check your reservation by phone so you are not standing at the desk maybe without a room.

“Over priced and disappointing”

The room was supposed to be a king size bed and non-smoking. The room smelled very bad and musty and had two beds. The linens and bedding did not seem very clean. The air conditioning unit was obnoxiously loud and made it difficult to sleep. Our room was on the second floor, but there was no elevator. I had to carry a very heavy suitcase and bags up 2 flights of stairs. I feel the room was extremely over priced for what we received and the condition of the room. I would not stay there again.

“Constantly interrupted sleep!”

The king sized room I stayed seemed like it had paper-thin walls. It was right next to the ice machine that dropped loads of cubes regularly, and of course invited talking guests. I've been by ice machines before, but frankly never really noticed the traffic or the sounds they make. I woke up several times from this. The "neighbors" above and to the side also woke me many times with their "valentine's efforts." Again, it is a given the people go to hotels for conjugal visits, but I've never been able to hear every squeal or gasp or been able to make out actual words people were saying. My only conclusion was that these rooms are poorly insulated in the walls/ceiling. So despite the fact that the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the surroundings were pleasant, what it really comes down to is HOW WELL CAN YOU SLEEP? I couldn't. I would not go back and pay that much for such a crappy night's sleep again. I couldn't wait to leave and get some peace and quiet.
