would definitely go back

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: The room was very clean and bigger than I expected.
Cons: For those of us who have to watch carbs, it would have been nice to have something on the breakfast bar that wasn't a bread or cereal.
The hotel was very easy to find and was very clean and comfortable.

Michigan trip

Posted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: The staff was unbelievably friendly and courteous.
Cons: nothing comes to mind.
It was very cold, mostly because I live in a warmer state now, although I did grow up in southeastern Michigan

Wonderful family owned hotel!

Posted Feb 11, 2013
Pros: Friendly, accommodating staff.
Cons: Not a great provided breakfast.
The staff is absolutely great here. They were very personable and friendly, and made sure to remember me as more than just another visitor. There was a mix up with my reservation - they didn't receive it for some reason - but they were incredibly apologetic and honored the price quoted by Expedia. The room was comfortable and clean, with personal climate control that was easy to adjust to fit my needs. They have a pool and work out room, but I unfortunately didn't have time to use either. The provided breakfast was a little lackluster, just toaster waffles, toast, etc, oatmeal, and cereal, but the family owns the nearby convenience store/gas station/diner, The Depot, that has a $3 breakfast buffet for guests. I will definitely be staying with them again, should I return to the area.

budget priced, comfortable stay.

This hotel was comfortable and clean. If you need a inexpensive moderately priced room, this is the place. I would book there again.

Nice clean hotel!!

Posted Sep 13, 2012
My friends and I went to a game at Mt. Pleasant from the west side of the state. Wanted to stay overnight to enjoy more of the game experience since we are young. In my 6 times in a hotel between here and other states it's one of the nicest ones. Overall a very nice hotel, clean, nice pool, hottub and workout room. Beds & pillows were a tad firm for me, but might be great for someone else who likes firm. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone and if we come back up that way, I will want this hotel again.

Pleasantly surprised

Posted Apr 22, 2012
It's always a risk to book a hotel that's not part of a chain and, honestly, this was the only hotel we could find around Mt Pleasant on the dates we needed so we booked it. We were pleasantly surprised. The pool area needed updating but the water temp was perfect and fun was had by all! The rest of the hotel was very nice.

Collage Visit

There is really no where to go in that area. a 1 horse town. The people at the hotel did a good job, but it seemed a bit pricy for that type of area.
