Surprisingly good experience

Property in good shape, excellent wi-fi, more TV channels than usual. Big truck parking in back, walking distance to a couple of fast food joints and a very large conv store. Just make sure you book a non smoking if you want one.

Self Medicated

Besides the lack of a some kind of smile and/or greeting. As well as making me feel like it was an inconvenience to complete my prepaid reservation. Besides that the bed was comfortable, room was clean. So if you can get through the uncomfortable obviously self medicated front desk clerk. You'll have it made.

This hotel was good for the price. The room was clean and there were plenty of local food choices nearby. The night clerk seemed upset that he had a customer at first but became friendly when he discovered that I was from the town. Overall I was pleased and would stay here again.

Location: Location was good as it was the only motel in the town!
I requested a non-smoking room which I did not get. The bed reeked of smoke so I left at 5:00 a.m. As much business as the have the should update their linens, which are threadbare. The place was packed!

No coffee in the room for the first morning. No shampoo in the very small bath. The person at check in was not very friendly. It was better than having to sleep on a love seat for three nights.

Use to be better

We had stayed here 6 years ago and found it to be clean and convenient. So we anticipated the same on this trip. We were really disappointed by what we found and will not book this property in the future. First, let me say that the office staff were nice and did their best to provide good service. However, all of the linens and towels must be the original sets from the opening of the motel. They are worn thin and, in some cases, torn (our contour bottom sheet). The pillows on our bed (the actual pillows, not the outer cases) were heavily stained all over -- really heavily stained. The office replaced them upon request with tired, but cleaner pillows. The most troubling observation we made was that our window was completely unlocked. We happened to notice this by accident as we were leaving the room. We locked the windows and headed out. As we walked by other rooms, we noticed that the locks on about 3/4 of the rooms we passed were in the unlocked position. This is a huge security issue. Most guests would assume that upon check-in, their windows would be locked. There are reasons (none of them good) why a motel staff person would leave rooms accessible to unregistered "guests", and this is an issue that absolutely has to be addressed by the motel owner.
