Pros: Cozy beds, nonsmoking
Cons: fitness center, more tables in breakfast area. What is with the 100 employee only parking spots???? Very little parking for guests
Location: LOVE Keystone!
Nice hotel, walking distance to downtown. Confused as to why all parking spaces say employees only?

Very close to my Rushmore

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Close to mt Rushmore and attractions.
Location: My Rushmore, keystone city attractions( in season), crazy horse monument.
The hotel is very close to mt Rushmore. Beautiful lobby. Clean room. Had pool but didn't use it, but I saw families in there having fun. Good breakfast, GREAT cinnamon rolls.

Pros: Caring staff, comfortable rooms, and well set out.
Cons: Breakfast seemed to run out before end of scheduled time.
Location: Plenty to do in season, only one bar and one restaurant in Easter weekend.
Stayed here while visiting Rushmore, Crazy Horse and the Black Hills. Keystone is still very quiet in April, but a good base for the area.

Cozy area

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: The cleanliness and customer service.
Location: Mt. Rushmore
The hotel is situated in a cozy area with the perfect amounts of shops and resturants to select from yet not too touristy. The ambiance was not compromised from woodsy natural enviroment.

A great location in close proximity to Mt Rushmore

Posted Apr 3, 2015
Pros: The morning breakfast buffet was tasty. My kids enjoyed the pool. The facility is close to Mt. Rushmore, while clean and in good shape.
Location: The hotel is a block from the Keystone Boardwalk (just close enough but not too close) with its shops and attractions.
We were looking for a Spring Break destination for a handful of nights. This hotel offered enough of the pool and breakfast buffet to fill the evening time gaps and morning hunger needs for our family. It is located close to Mt. Rushmore and the associated, area attractions; Rapid City's outlying suburbs and stores/restaurants are only a 15' drive away. My biggest recommendation is to go during the main season--we went at the end of March and found that > 75% of the area tourist attractions (aside from the monuments) are closed until late April and early May. For a long weekend getaway with the kids, however, the hotel is situated well and it is in good shape.

nice hotel close to all local attractions.

Pros: the hotel was next door to a good restaurant, and very close to the main street. the hotel was away from street noise and in good condition.
Cons: the jacuzzi was closed at the end of the day when we wanted to use it. otherwise, very nice overall.
Location: unfortunately we went off season, and most everything was closed in the town itself. the adventure park, close by caves, restaurants. still had fun.
the hotel stay was nice, and withing walking distance to the main street. the staff was very friendly, and the room comfortable and in good shape.

Mostly Dissapointed

Posted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: Location was great.
Cons: Clean
Location: There is a lot of things to do in Keystone. Caves, shopping, Mount Rushmore, Alpine slide, ropes course, and a lot more.
The hotel itself was pretty nice and in a great location as far as Keystone is concerned. The hotel was kind of dirty though, and a little under staffed. The pool and hot tub were disgusting. There was a dirt ring around the hot tub 1/4" thick, and the bottom of the pool was like swimming at a beach there was so much dirt on the bottom. The room was fine, but with everything else being kind of dirty it made you wonder. I would try and find a different hotel in the area that pays a little more attention to cleanliness next time, too bad though it's a cool spot.
