It’s absolutely beautiful views in the heart of Keystone close to Mt Rushmore. Wish it wasn’t off season to enjoy the pool. Overall great experience and highly recommend it.

The property was closing for the season, which was not mentioned when we booked. When we showed up to the property, they claimed that everything was “broken”!? The pool, the hot tub, the vending machines, the ice machine, and machines for the included breakfast had all supposedly broken two days prior. So amenities that we thought we were getting with our stay we’re not available! Including half the breakfast items were not available. The first hot water was unavailable, and when it was took literally five minutes for hot water to come out of the shower. Overall seem very poorly run and might as well just been closed.

Amazing! For the price and convenience to Mount Rushmore and several things we were looking to do this hotel was a home run! Chris checked us in and by the end of the trip we got to know the entire wonderful staff. Rose, Lisa, Max and McKenzie went above and beyond to make sure our stay was a success. The crisp mountain air, balcony and fire pits were an added bonus. I look forward to staying here again. Mike Dudley

Was pretty run down, not very clean. Our tv kept going in and out. Kids kept running up and down the hallway. The hallway carpet was almost greasy when you walked on it. And it was so packed with people we didnt even feel comfortable going to the pool or continental breakfast

Everything was ok but the breakfast
My only thing was the breakfast. There was no choices only biscuits and gravy, sausages, and waffles. Not really a good selection. No eggs no ham no cheese. The service at the hotel was great the staff was great. My only issue was waking up everymorning to that depressing breakfast

We loved our stay here. It was in walking distance of Keystone and a short drive to Mt Rushmore staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Very clean!

Three floor property. Elevator out of order, multiple vending out of order. Temperature in room was really difficult to regulate. Either way too hot or waay too cold. Breakfast was fine-standard. Overall fairly loud. That being said, close to My Rushmore-can see from the property.

The setting was excellent, set into the side of a mountain and the actual view of Mt. Rushmore was cool! My room was adequate but really tight (2 full beds in a small room). Breakfast was alright and the opportunites in Keystone were very close. Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument and Custer State Park were all in easy driving distances. The pool, so-so. Overall a little more upkeep on the building.

This hotel looks great from the outside, and I always thought it would be nice to stay there. When I checked in, I noticed the filthy carpet in the hallway that hadn’t been vacuumed. The next morning, the (fairly big) pieces of wrapper or whatever it was were still there. Then I saw the breakfast area. It was awful. Waffle mix was all over the counters, the cabinets, and the garbage cans. It had been there a while because it was all dried. There was a bucket of what looked like was supposed to be for wiping tables on top of a garbage can, but the water was almost the color of the waffle batter. There was not a clean table, so I asked a worker for a rag. He handed me two dry ones. I asked if there was a sink to get them wet. He said “There should be.” No sink. I went back and he was surprised there isn’t. I had to get them wet in a weird little room (bathroom converted to storage)—and this is in the room marked “Kitchen”. I wiped two tables, and after sitting there drinking a cup of tea for a few minutes waiting for our fellow travelers, we had seen enough. We ate elsewhere. There was also no mention that our window faced the rocky hill behind the hotel and was very close to the water heaters that were incredibly loud. Everything just felt dirty. Should have never checked in. The logo on the coffee cups is “You’ve earned it.” Well, we certainly didn’t earn that! Stay elsewhere.

We had a very quiet, clean, and roomy king suite. We had our dog with us…he hears everything so we were surprised to see a full parking lot in the early morning because we heard no one walking past our room close to the parking lot entrance.

I booked this place 3 weeks in advance. Got put in a room for the hand-cap. Waited 35 minutes to get warm water in the shower area. Called front desk was told my end of the building always needs that time to get warm water! Had throw pillows for the beds for sleeping. Dry nosiest AC unit. Will never stay there again.

There was an overpowering essential oils smell in the room. The shower curtain didn't cover the tub so water sprayed out onto the floor. Breakfast was great and the room looked freshly painted.
