“lovely escape”

This is a lovely hotel nestled in the valley of Hill City. You can eat breakfast indoors looking out at the moutains, or sit outdoors on the deck. The property is extremely clean and well kept. All of the staff members I encountered were courteous and friendly. The only drawback for us was the cold temperature of the pool. While our kids still enjoyed swimming, I much preferred the hot tub!

“Mt. Rushmore Visit”

We were looking for the least expensive hotel around the Mt. Rushmore area. Although not "cheap" the Comfort Inn-Hill City was a very nice place and had an outstanding continental bkfst that we loved. It has a nice deck with a homey feeling and is adjacent to a convienence store for other needs. I'd stay there again.

“Rushmore made easy”

Our stay at the Comfort Inn in Hill City was fantastic. Great breakfast and directions to The Diner in town for reasonably priced evening meals. The front desk staff was most helpful with tourist directions and advice. They moved Crazy Horse Monument higher on our priority list and put Custer State Park on it also. (Saw buffalo up close - but not personal!) They encouraged Rushmore at sunset and staying for the 9pm program (beautifully patriotic). They also recommended Presidential Wax Museum in Keystone, which should be a MUST on every Rushmore-visitor list. Well done and informative. We were there during Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis and certainly experienced the overflow; but that provides an extra colorful touch to our tale of Rushmore.

“Great for a reunion”

We had a cousins reunion, many of whom had not seen each other in years. Since we were coming in at different times of the day, the desk clerk readily consented to giving the reunion members a message of where/when to meet & a telephone number of the organizer. Our rooms were grouped together. They allowed us to use their breakfast area in the evening as well as the TV for DVD's for a gathering spot. The employees were so friendly including the housekeepers. Thanks for helping to make it a memorable experience.

“Convenient to Mount Rushmore”

This hotel was just fine. I wouldn't say it's special in anyway, but suited our needs.

“Would stay here again!”

Our family enjoyed being able to walk downtown, and have a meal or a drink. The grandkids enjoyed the pool even though the water was a little chilly. The hot breakfast was very good, and the server was very helpful. All in all enjoyed the experience and the area. Would stay here again. Thanks, The Harpers

“False advertising”

The hotel was ok and the location is really nice. My problem is that they call this a suite when it is actually a large hotel room with two beds. There is only a small table with two kitchen type chairs to sit in. Hardly the definition of a suite although the price is suite-like.
