Good enough but probably wouldn't stay there againPosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: The price was reasonable and it's right by plenty of restaurants.
Cons: The breakfast was pretty bad. Cereal, doughnuts, and bagels. If breakfast is included in the price of my room, a much nicer breakfast would be appreci
There's nothing specifically bad about this hotel. Just a little run down, old looking, and not comfortable. Everything seemed clean but because of it's dated interior, it doesn't look clean.

OK for a quick stay but not the bestPosted Oct 9, 2013
Pros: Right by the highway, ok price (considering)
Cons: It was ok overall for a quick stay but was very dated. The bed/linens could be more comfortable and carpet was not the cleanest.
Location: Right near the highway so it is good for a short stay on the way to somewhere else. Gas station/restaurants very nearby.
The other reviews are spot-on. The room is furnished with all of the essentials but was not exactly modern. The bed was ok- not the most comfortable. Also the carpet and bedspread were not the cleanest. They are pet friendly (for dogs, not cats) which wasn't bad-- charge $10 per pet. If you book through Expedia make sure to call them about pets.

There is nicer place across the street.Posted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: the Beautyrest Mattress
The Days Inn in Mount Vernon was adequate. If I ever stay there again, I think I would rather stay at the Holiday Inn. Some friends we were traveling with stayed there and it sounded much nicer for the same price. There is a restaurant and bar (Kriegers) while there was no restaurant in the Days Inn. We ate at Krieger's on Saturday night and food and service was excellent. Also their continental breakfast sounded better with hot items while ours was a cold breakfast. Also, the Holiday Inn has a hot tub while the Days Inn does not.

Reasonable cost.Posted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: Nice pool.
Cons: Clean carpets - make staff more personable.
The night check in person seemed very curt when we arrived so didn't start off well. It was a quick overnight stay but the carpet in our room looked leery. There was no shampoo in room and coffee is a horrible brand.

Everything we neededPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Can't believe the negative reviews of this place. Our room was clean quiet and comfortable. Location was great. Restaurants, gas and everything else was within walking distance. Will stay again on our way back.

Comfortable StayPosted Aug 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel was a comfortable place to return to after a long day's work each day. The personnel were friendly and did everything possible to achieve a quiet room for me. This was particularly important, as I was working very early in the morning, and had to get to sleep in the early evening. They did a great job at this, and helped me get some much-needed quiet rest.
