Nice place for the rate

It was a last minute stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only downfall was no coffee pot in room.

Electrical nightmare

Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: In room coffee pots with complimentary coffee
Faulty outlets reported day I checked in. In the 5 nights I stayed, no one came to fix them and was not offered to have me moved to another room.

Okay Hotel

This is a hotel that is good if you are checking in late and leaving early or just need a place to crash. It could definitely use some updating and the continental breakfast bar needs help. The coffee pot is so old that it is a wonder that it still works. The front desk personnel were hospitable and helpful though.

Red Roof Inn - Mt. Vernon, IL

Room smelled like bleach and mildew. Room was overall clean, but had a strong odor of mildew. Towels were highly stained and needed to be replaced. T.V. worked fine. Neighbors were extremely loud - walls are paper thin.

Good hotel

Had only one thing negative to say about this stay....the first night, the entire hotel lost electric power, but they contacted the power company and we had electricity within 15 minutes. Other than that, the stay was uneventful.
