An excellent hotel. The staff were just brilliant. The lady receptionist I met when I arrived and at several other times was always smiling. They were exceptionally helpful and took me to work and back each day without charge. There was a modest charge of 30 Euro for transfer to the airport but, for 25 km, it was worth it. The food was good although not always to my particular taste. Free WIFI was very much appreciated.
The hotel is not in the best tourist area and was about 2 km from the railway station. However, for very low cost, eg, 2.80 Euro, you could get to the centre of Naples. Although I made my own way from the station to the hotel a single phone call would have brought the owner to fetch me.
If I am in the area again I will return to the same hotel.

"You will not find a better location for the ruins."
We chose this hotel for its proximity to the excavations and cold not have done better. It is literally "across the street" from the main entrance and the free parking, at a large guarded car park is a real bonus in a busy city.
The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - we arrived at 12, knowing we could not check in until 2, but they directed us to the car park and allowed us to store our bags in a secure room in the hotel reception.
The real treat, however, was to discover that, upon our return from a long afternoon in very hot sunshine at the excavations, they had very kindly upgraded us to a VERY superior suite - utter luxury with 2 bathrooms, a Jucuzzi Hammam and pristine, state of the art furnishings and decoration.
So all in all a BIG thumbs up to the Hotal Forum- you can't do better in Pompeii

Our room was in the annexe, which wasn't far from the main hotel where we had to go for breakfast. It was close to one of the entrances to Pompeii which was great, also close to restaurants, the town of Pompeii and the beautiful church, bell tower lookout and town square. We were not in the room for very long, as we were exploring the area, but it was comfortable and very clean. The staff at the main hotel were very helpful and knowledgeable about the town and local amenities.

We selected this hotel as a base to visit Herculanium and Naples and it worked well because of the frequent train services. The hotel is modern and very clean. The indoor parking is safe and free. A good deal for the price we paid. We asked for a double room but got a suite instead, a real bonus. The front desk person, "Azura?" was particularly helpful. She answered all our questions on where to eat and go. She even helped fix the electrical switch in our room. The restaurant does not open regularly during low season but we ate there once and it was excellent, and inexpensive.
