Great hotel, excellent location, great facilities

Posted Jul 24, 2015
The room as huge compared to the other rooms we stayed at during our trip of Europe. Plenty of space. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The location puts you right at a side entrance to Pompeii (not the main one). As for what there is to do near the hotel, there isn't much. You can walk a few blocks but that's about it. But if youre wanting a peaceful stay, the is definitely the area. The hotel also has a really nice outside area with a hanging grape garden and other fruits. Great time!

Convenient hotel for seeing the Pompeii ruins

Posted Jul 10, 2015
Pros: The evening welcome snacks drinks and snacks are lovely. Staff is friendly. Breakfast buffet is quite satisfactory. Hotel restaurant is excellent.
Cons: We had Room 37, and it was uncomfortably hot and stuff, even with the a/c turned on to max. A coffee maker in the room would be a plus.
Location: The hotel is directly across from the entrance to the ruins, and there are plenty of good little pizzeria within a five-minute walk.
We had two nights at the hotel, arriving by taxi directly from the Naples airport in late afternoon. We spent an entire day walking around the ruins. The hotel is very conveniently located almost directly across from the entrance.

Very pleasant hotel

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Although situated on a busy road the traffic could not be heard from our room or the beautiful hotel gardens.
Cons: It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and at least one English speaking (news) channel on the TV.
Location: Literally a few minutes walk from one of the entrances to the excavations and very close to some lovely restaurants and the railway stations.
I visited Pompeii with my 20 year old daughter. A very pleasant hotel to come back to at the end of a busy day sight seeing. The numerous fruit trees in the garden are lit up at night and, with the soothing background music, it was lovely sitting in the garden. Plenty of citronella candles were provided on all tables. There was plenty of seating, both in the dining area outside and the patio chairs. Our air conditioning refused to work one day but it was fixed immediately. We couldn't find the remote for the tv so one was found on the reception desk, although we then discovered there were no English speaking channels - sky news would have been useful. The very helpful reception staff even managed to lay their hands on a pack of playing cards for us.

Updated and modern hotel, with beautiful grounds. Dining outside among the lemon trees was spectacular.

Ruhiges Hotel, zentral gelegen

Posted Jun 10, 2015

Good centrally located hotel

Very Nice hotel opposite the archealogical site of Pompei - close to the main square and cathedral. Within walking distance of some fine restaurants and close to two railways station connecting to Sorrento in one direction and Naples in the other. The female staff very friendly and helpful, the male staff less so. Simple buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon & sausages the only hot offering - nevertheless more than adequate. Would definitely stay there again if in the area

Good Hotel close to Pompeii ruins

Posted Jun 2, 2015
Pros: It was pleasant, relaxing and I'd have gladly stayed there longer. When I return to Pompeii this would be my hotel choice.
Location: You also have the ruins of old Pompeii which are accessible opposite the hotel and Herculaneum is near approx a 30 min drive away.
Great hotel, décor lovely, modern and stylish features, notably everything worked ! The room had a small balcony/patio overlooking a stunning garden where guests could have drinks and relax. There was an outside restaurant there I'd have liked to have tried but sadly it was too cold that evening. Comfortable bed, wifi as good as it gets in Italy! Breakfast was also delicious. Pompeii is lovely for a short visit, there are a number of bars and restaurants nearby set around a pretty piazza

Hotel right by the Pompeii exit

Posted May 31, 2015
Pros: Well situated
Cons: No it's getting there
Location: See experience
50m from the hotel is the tourist office they will help you plan your stay, When inside Pompeii, purchase a guide, don't use the audio system it's not very informative The hotel is getting refurbished from the ground floor up, our room was not completed jet but was still ok Sitting out in the nice garden with a cold beer was really relaxing Make sure you visit Herculeam it is fantastic and far more preserved than Pompeii A 20 minute hike from where you get dropped off gets you to the top of Mount Versuvios, if you book this be prepared to be up in the cloud, take rain coat
