Lovely hotel right opposite Pompei Scavi entrancePosted Nov 26, 2013
We had our honeymoon break here. The staff were friendly and helpful as well as all the Italians that we came across. We made a great use of the trains and buses to get to the hotel from the airport and to explore the area. The breakfast buffet was more than ample and a very good selection. We found evening meals in the hotel simple, satisfying and well cooked, the pizzas were tasty. We had a junior suite with a view of mount Vesuvius. The room was really comfortable and just what you needed after an exhausting day of sight seeing. The gardens were beautiful and would be lovely to sit in of an evening if the weather had been a bit warmer (it was November). Would we stay here again yes yes yes cannot wait but we would stay longer next time. Thank you hotel forum you helped to make our honeymoon break unforgettable.

Right on top of the ruins.Posted Nov 4, 2013
A nice clean hotel in a great location. Helpful staff and a nice room but no tea & coffee facilities and the air conditioning didn't work. Breakfast was a bit hit & miss with regard to availability but a decent hotel overall.

good hotelPosted Oct 30, 2013
Pros: Excellent staff. outdoor area. good location.
Cons: more variation at breakfast
Location: easy to get to ruins and into modern Pompeii. easy to get to public transport
stayed here to visit the ruins and local area. Hotel offered good accommodation and facilities. Staff were very helpful and breakfast was good but a little limited. Room was clean and spacious but bathroom was a little small. overall the location was good and ideal for what we wanted. would stay here again if I needed too

Excellent hotelPosted Aug 31, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is an excellent hotel just a stones throw from the Gate entrance. It is very clean and very calming from the hectic bustle of the town and the ruins. We had a family room for two adults and two teenagers and there was plenty of room and the bath room was huge and well equipped. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. A good price for an excellent hotel and I would recommend it to anyone. The only negative is the coffee from the urn at breakfast tastes strange, go for the proper coffee from the waitress.

Great for checking out the ruinsPosted Aug 31, 2013
Pros: Location to the ruins.
Cons: Perhaps nicer bed sheets and towels, but they were ok.
Location: After seeing the ruins, head in to the piazza outside the church and enjoy some wood-fired pizza from Restaurant Piazza: Ristorante e Pizzeria.
Hotel Forum is almost directly across the street from the entrance to the ruins of Pompeii. The staff were nice, the room good, and breakfast was filling. There's even a nice courtyard restaurant/bar in the back. You can get to the Circumvesuviana train station easy enough from here too (a half dozen blocks), just past the central square. The one with the big church.

Pompeii - Great Location - Older HotelPosted Aug 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Excellent location. Smaller Hotel, which is clean but dated. Needs some work. Service was acceptable, breakfast was excellent - nice fresh food and beautiful room. Outside dinner area is under a Grape Vine Canopy. Very rustic but quite special. Small hotel with a great location. Rooms and Washrooms were dated but very clean.

Very convenient to ruinsPosted Jul 13, 2013
Pros: The buffet breakfasts were very good, and as I said above, it's convenient.
Cons: The decor could use updating.
Location: Very close to Pompeii ruins.
This hotel is right across the street from the Pompeii ruins, therefore very convenient. The hotel itself could use a bit of updating. It's clean, but our room was fairly small and the furnishings were sort of old and dated. But, we didn't spend all that much time in the room! I will add that we ate at two very good restaurants, both within walking distance. The first was La Bettola Del Gusto and the second was Garum--it was probably the better of the two, but I'd recommend both highly.
