Fabulous hotel! Would return in a heartbeat!!!Posted Dec 6, 2014
Pros: The people who worked at the front desk and breakfast room were the best … so welcoming!
Cons: Not much …
Location: Too much to mention. The location is superb! Top-notch location makes visiting Pompeii very relaxing and convenient. All sights are very close.
My 6 year old son was in heaven! The hotel is not only right across the street from the Pompeii ruins, but also a series of fabulous cafes serving superb gelato. There was a mini amusement park offering several rides and a mini bumper cars ride for the younger kids. Hotel Forum was amazing! The parking across the street was very convenient, and we took advantage of the room service which offered lovely dinners after a long day of hiking to see Mount Vesuvius and the ruins of Pompeii. We would return in a heart-beat! What a memorable long weekend!

Very close to ruinsPosted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: The Location and hotel grounds. The staff
Cons: Kettle in rooms
Location: Opposite rear gate to the ruins . Inexpensive restaurants with 5 minutes of the hotel . The square and Basillica is a 5 minute walk .
Forum Hotel was very close to the ruins. Restaurants were close by. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh sheets and towels. The room was big enough for us with sofa, table and decent sized TV. We had a balcony with views of the ruins, outside our room were tables and chairs looking over the gardens. The grounds were well kept and beautiful particularly at night. With the trees lit with candles and little lights. The only criticism is the lack of a kettle in the rooms . But if that is the only criticism it's something we managed to do without !

Best location for PompeiPosted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Great location. This is the nicest Hotel I saw in this area near Pompei
Cons: All good
Location: Pompei entrance right across the street. Rent the pre-recorded tour phones from vendors across the street from hotel. These were really well done.
Great location hotel with parking across the street

You will not find a better location for the ruins.Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: Location, helpfulness of staff and facilities
Cons: Honestly nothing
Location: The excavations of course!
We chose this hotel for its proximity to the excavations and cold not have done better. It is literally "across the street" from the main entrance and the free parking, at a large guarded car park is a real bonus in a busy city. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and friendly - we arrived at 12, knowing we could not check in until 2, but they directed us to the car park and allowed us to store our bags in a secure room in the hotel reception. The real treat, however, was to discover that, upon our return from a long afternoon in very hot sunshine at the excavations, they had very kindly upgraded us to a VERY superior suite - utter luxury with 2 bathrooms, a Jucuzzi Hammam and pristine, state of the art furnishings and decoration. So all in all a BIG thumbs up to the Hotal Forum- you can't do better in Pompeii

Lovely hotel opposite the Pompei ruinsPosted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: We appreciated the helpfulness and friendliness of staff.
Cons: We can't think of anything!
Location: Pompei ruins are across the road; other ruins (eg Herculaneum) and seaside town of Sorrento are a short train ride away.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. A problem with our room safe discovered on arrival was attended to instantly and a new safe was installed within the hour. The hotel is situated very close to both the Pompei ruins and the modern town centre plaza where there are plenty of restaurants and ice-cream parlours.

Great hotel. Everything was perfect. Would like to thank Monica for all her assistance during our stay. Would definitely come back to this hotel if we are ever in this area again.
