Convenient and ComfortablePosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: Clean, comfortable and convenient
Cons: Fix the balcony door so that road noise is minimized.
We went from Rome to Naples in the morning. Had breakfast near Naples train station and took circumvesuviana to Pompeii. This hotel is very close to the Pompeii excavations entrance(which itself is right outside the train station). Dropped our backpacks at the hotel and went to see the excavations. Had dinner in town and came back to the hotel. Next day, caught the Circumvesuviana Sorrento. The staff is so friendly, we would go back there just because of them. Great breakfast. Fresh fruits right from the garden. Building is 200 years old, hotel in business for 80 years. Little bit old building, noise from as 18, so take room as far away from ss18 as possible. Clean, comfortable and convenient.

Helpful staff made stay enjoyablePosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Modernise rooms but enjoyed the older charm.
Location: Pompeii proximity and Vesuvius bus at train station.
Hotel location tops, easy walk to train, ruins entrance at hotel. Good value hotel, genuine helpful staff, tourist menu for 15e good value. Large room. Will definately recommend, better to base here than Naples if combining Amalfi area.

NoisyPosted Jul 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
The best thing about this hotel is the location! There probably isn't a more convenient location when visiting Pompei, also very close to Circumvesuviana trains. The water pressure was terrible, the water trickled out and even stopped a couple of times during my shower and the water temperature was not even close to hot. My daughter had the same problem. The lady at the desk did not seem surprised. They made our bed with flat sheets and no mattress cover so inevitably you end up laying on the mattress, yuck! The bath towels were like big dish towels, very strange. The worst thing was the noise. We were put in a room that faced the street. It sounded like we were on the street with no wall or window buffering the noise. We were very tired and still couldn't sleep through the noise. The breakfast was minimal, not a buffet. What they called juice was watered down and they offered croissants and bread with nutella.

Hotel was very convenient, right outside the gates to the ruins. However, the room was very small and the hotel staff were not very helpful.

Hotel Vittoria, PompeiiPosted Feb 11, 2012 on Hotels.com
Daniela and Tina at the front desk were absolutely awesome!! Such nice and helpful ladies. Breakfast was very good (fresh bread, fresh fruit juice...really!! tasted like it was freshly squeezed that morning, yoghurt, cereal, ham and other cold cuts, etc.) as well and was included with the room price. Rooms were large, clean and price was affordable for our family of five. We will definitely go back when we return to Pompeii, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. Hotel Vittoria is lucky to have Daniela and Tina working the front desk!! Don & Julie
