What a lovely family run Villa, wish we stayed more than one night. The rooms were clean and comfortable. So awesome to be able to get refreshed in the pool after a long day of travel. The owners were super friendly and helpful in giving information. There was even a cute cat that would come by to say hello. Breakfast was simple continental with fresh cappuccino. Would stay again.

Nice Stop
Excellent location next to rail tracks where you can hop the train. The host accommodated our very late check in two hours after check in closed as we had various issues on the way there. Comfortable bed, great breakfast, can leave car there protected and walk to do Pompeii Ruins. Only issue is train is noisy late and early, but not middle of the night.

Great value for money. Recommend the homemade dinner option, it was delicious. Owners were very friendly. This is not a Hilton or Marriott, it is an authentic family run motel/hotel. Would stay again when visiting. Short walk to Pompeii Free secured parking on site.

If you want a place to stay where your plan is to see Pompeii stay here. They have a home cooked 5 course meal available for a few that is absolutely amazing. They are friendly and it is walking distance to Pompeii archaleogical site and the Pompeii train station so you can continue your trip to the amalfi coast after testing snigger here to see pompei

Excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, The pool was small but refreshing. you MUST have dinner there at least one night the home made itilaian dinner they provide is absolutely incredible. 10 minute walk to Pompeii archaeology site And to the train station is a 7 minute walk. Would stay here again, great value for the price. Spacious rooms.

The Villa is situated close to the Pompeii ruins and train station. The value for money was good and facilities available met our needs. Cleanliness was good with the room being cleaned daily. The owners were friendly and very informative with their local knowledge and suggestions. We would recommend Villa Franca to others. The atmosphere is friendly but not intrusive. Wonderful experience in Pompeii

This is a small, basic, family run hotel. They are friendly - cook great food - we ate there every night though we hadn’t planned to and breakfast is plentiful and tasty. It isn’t especially pretty, the beds and pillows are a bit tired but it was very clean with lots of hot water and although the circumvesuviana trains run past the property they do not run especially late or early and so it was not a problem. It also literally borders the Pompeii ruins and is a short walk to the trains and buses that go from there to local sites - the train runs between Naples and Sorrento. Extremely good value - but don’t expect 5 star luxury at these prices. Will definitely go back.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and nice. There is a lovely pool and garden and breakfast is included. It is next to rail line but has a railfan that was a bonus for me. Station and archeological site within walking distance.

amazing place all around. literally a 5 minute walk away from pompei which was also right across the street from the train station (which had restaurants and a little shop with essentials), which made getting to sorrento/the amalfi coast super easy. the place was very quiet and peaceful, and the neighbourhood felt safe. dinner is provided as long as you let them know in advance and the food is great and authentic. we felt welcomed like family, and the dinner area was a great place to meet other people staying at the villa. absolutely recommend to anyone visiting pompei!

This was a gem of a find. It may not have 5 star decor, but dont let that fool you. The family who run the Villa are amazing, very friendly, cant do enough for you and are very knowledgable. We ate here every night and wow, just wow. The food was out of this world. Its a set menu which changes daily, but if you dont like something theyll happily change it. It is also within 10 mins walk of pompeii, and the station for Herculaneum, Sorrento and Naples. We will come back here.

We spent two weeks in Italy (Rome, Pompei and Sardinia). Villa Franca was one of our favourite places to stay (we are a family of four). Why? The owners are absolutely wonderful people. The Napoli hospitality was right there...cooked dinner, great conversation, etc. I just wished we had stayed longer. Also, the location is ideal for visiting the Pompei ruins. We enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent if you are visiting the ruins. It’s literally a 10 minute walk. Pool was a nice treat at the end of a hot day. Pool was well kept and very clean. The staff/family were fantastic. I recommend staying for the dinner (nightly at 7:30 by the pool). It was 20 euros each. A bottle of wine was 15 euros as well. The food was fantastic. We couldn’t eat all of it! Probably the best meal we had while we were in Italy. The room was basic. But clean. Overall a cheap and cheerful stay. Thanks for a great stay.

This hotel is simply Italian, clean, quirky with friendly staff. Location to ruins is perfect and in walking distance, swimming pool was great for our teenage grandsons, we loved it. But don't expect posh that's why we liked it, simple clean great location with a great price

Best night of a 10 day trip.
The room was very nice. We were allowed to check in early with cappuccinos. We left our luggage and headed to Pompeii. Everything I heard about the owner and his cooking skills is true. Our of 10 days in Italy his, for $18 Euros, by far the best. It's him, his wife, his dad and his aunt. They are always looking to please. Too early, and thus very cold warter, to use the pool but it was full and spotless. We were able to leave our bags again the next day. I can't brag on Guisseppe and just smile enough. Stay there.

Great outdoor pool and incredible home cooked food every night. The food was the best we had in Italy - so fresh and tasty. The pool was great too - our boy was in it more often than not. Easy walking distance to main gate of the Pompeii excavations and train station - once you're here you can easily use the train to get around to other sites and Sorrento etc..

Perfect location as was within walking distant of Pompei ruins as well as train station to get you to other places easily like Naples, Sorrento, Herculaneum, etc. The hotel was a small friendly place, where staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice setting as rooms around courtyard with pool. Enjoyed the evening meal freshly cooked.

This hotel is great as a base for exploring Sorrento, Pompeii, Herculaneum and the Bay of Naples. It’s 10 minutes from the train station and the entrance to the Pompeii ruins. Rooms are basic (all that I needed though - a bed and a wardrobe and a bathroom) but very clean and comfy. The food is definitely the best thing though - this is a small family run hotel (10 rooms in total I think) and you have the option to eat dinner at 7.30 by the pool. There’s no menu - you’re brought whatever is being cooked but it is all incredible! Home cooked, fresh and amazing! Different menu every night and I always left the table absolutely full to bursting.

Unexpected gem, fabulous food!
We booked this place at the last minute because our original reservation somewhere else had overbooked and had no room for us. The price was very reasonable so we were a little skeptical, however the hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. She took time to explain directions for getting to the pompeii ruins and provided great information regarding how to get around to other sites as well. The breakfast was included with the room, but dinner was also available for an extra charge. Since we arrived at the end of the dinner time, we opted to pay for the dinner... We were extremely pleased, so pleased that we ate dinner there each night of our stay. The food was some of the best we've had in Italy so far (we had been here two weeks already) and generous portions (we had to turn away much of it because we were stuffed!). The hostess also spoke several languages so there was no issue with communication. The rooms weren't the fanciest rooms, but they were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend Villa Franca, especially for families.

We received a Lovely welcome on arrival to Villa Franca, nothing was to much trouble for them. Lovely breakfast, fabulous evening meals all freshly prepared by Giuseppe, room was clean and large with daily maid , only 10mins walk to Pompeii Ruins and train station, (takes you to Naples and Sorrento ) lots of restaurants available during the day, and a market to buy any gifts to take home.
