Pros: food, service, and the room and very spacious and comfortable.
Cons: the smell coming from out the street
Location: location was not very pretty but very convenient.
The only problem we had was that the smell from frying samosas from the street and cigarette from the other rooms penetrated in the room sometimes. But the ac solved the problem.

Neglected hotel in great shopping location

The Legend sits on a busy shopping street, as short and interesting walk from the large street fair at Santa Cruz train station. It is an ideal location for weekend shopping. While the neighborhood is nice, however, the hotel itself is neglected: maintenance left boxes and unused chairs stacked in the hallways, and my curtains were broken and thus could not open; housekeeping cleaned my room only once in my four-day stay and didn't return my laundry until I telephoned to demand it; room service requires two visits to deliver a Pepsi (one to deliver the bottle, the second to deliver the bill); the room has no seating for a second person (you need to use the bed); and the internet worked only one day in my four-day stay. Given the failures fall across functional departments (housekeeping, maintenance, room service), I sense the problem is not with any one department, but with the hotel's owner, who appears to simply not know how to manage a hotel. I would recommend this hotel for a very short stay in Mumbai to do shopping. I would not recommend this hotel for business travel, nor any stay which requires internet access or meeting space.

Most Uncomfortable Bed and Very Noisy

We payed way too much for this hotel!!! The beds were very uncomfortable, there were many bugs (we had many bug bites), & it was very noisy. Most budget hotels in India have twin beds in the rooms and they put them together if a queen bed is requested. This is very uncomfortable. The upside is that we found a yummy restaurant close by and some great books for cheap at a corner shop. The breakfast is sufficient, but not great. Overall, this hotel is adequate, but way overpriced!!!
