“Fantastic stay, 10/10.”

What a wonderful hotel, from the minute we arrived the service was incredible. Allthe staff were so hospitable and made us so welcome. The services available at this hotel were fantastic, all the regulars- pool, gym, however this hotel had an amazing hair salon, day spa, hamam and beauty clinic. It was so central to everything, we walked from flora fountain to the hotel. Lovely room and bathroom. Had roses on arrival and wine and fruit. There are four restaurants within the hotel, different cuisines. We ate at two of them, trattoria a great italian restaraunt and the thai restaurant was amazing. Cannot fault this hotel, would only stay here.

“Great business friendly hotel in Mumbai”

Great Hotel, great staff. This is a true five star hotel. The italian restaurant makes the best margarita pizza in India. Definatly worth staying in. Area around the hotel is also good.

“Best 5 star for the price”

They've just renovated the top floors so it's definitely worth paying the extra to get upgraded to exec floor. Really nice rooms with views over the ocean. Good restaurants and the new Cocktail bar makes unreal drinks (but pretty expensive).

“Five star plus at 3-4 star prices prevailing in Bombay”

This hotel has had a facelift. I stayed there for 90 days in 1983, and it has three facelifts since. Completely redone now, and a pleasant stay. I extended my stay by a day, as you know.

“Great Value 5 Star”

My wife and i stayed at the President on a recent trip and were very pleased with the stay. As a once-local Bombayite, i have often eaten at the restaurants but never spent a night at the hotel. Like all Taj-run hotels, the level of service was excellent and almost faultless - everyone from the check-in desk, to the bellboys, to the room service staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The tighter security levels, a necessary new reality, was somewhat reassuring and never too intrusive or annoying. The room service food was excellent, although we were disappointed that they did not offer an "all inclusive" English or American Breakfast. In addition, there was some work going on in the hotel, although they kept any noise and disturbance down to the minimum. While the recently refurbished room was well decorated with all the appropriate bells & whistles, we would have preferred just a bit more space. Overall, though, we thought it was a great value 5 star hotel and would go back to stay.

“Great Location”

A great hotel, very centrally located, within walking distance from the shops and Gate of India. Although service in main cafeteria was a little slow, but the food and overall experience at this beautiful hotel was very recommendable.

“Welcoming place in a busy city.”

My friend and I were traveling to India for the first time and had booked a few nights at the Taj President. We arrived and was happy with the hotel as far as the appearance, staff and cleanliness. Even Security. After flying all day and night then driving through Mumbai it was nice to have a place to call home for a few days. The hotel was friendly, courteous and polite without being pretentious. We enjoyed our stay and found everybody more than willing to please and help us from answering questions, giving directions and offering favorite spots to hang with locals. No problem with a late check out or holding our bags. The hotel was clean, room modern yet still relaxing. I didn't really use the facilities other than the business center. I would certainly recommend and use again when staying in the area. I loved Mumbai and the people. I would certainly want to return. I loved Mumbai and the people. I would certainly want to return.

“Far enough but near enough.”

This hotel is a little bit away from the tourist areas around Nariman Point and India Gate; as such you don't get bothered as soon as you step out of the front door of the hotel. It has good restaurants and a nice bar, and the rooms are clean, functional and nicely designed as rooms in a primarily business hotel should be. The spa is pleasant but divides ladies and gentlemen so I couldn't sit in there with my wife. Service is efficient and helpful without being intrusive. All in all a pleasure to stay at.

“Great hotel at a price that's worth it...”

So glad that we decided to stay here! Everything about our stay was perfect. Although this hotel is one of the pricier ones in Mumbai, it is WORTH IT. We arrived at 6 a.m. the day we were due to check in, and asked when we would be able to check into the room. After a bit of discussion, they let us check into the room then and there for no extra charge, and upgraded our room for no particular reason. Everyone working there seems to really like their job, or is at least great at faking it...

“Taj”

I was very impressed with the level of service at this hotel. Each of the staff went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. It was definitely one of the more pleasant hotel experiences I have had.
