Large self contained Unit . near exhibition center

Location: Exhibition center
While not even 4 star it proves a great place for multiple staff at a great rate only a few km form the convention center. With 4 beds , in 2 rooms , kitchen and more its a great and affordable place . While not perfectly clean they do try and overall it just works. A 3.5 star in a perfect location for trade show ..

Not four stars, depends on your needs

I had to find a hotel in a flash in Mumbai, and for whatever reason everything was full. So, I got Lalco residency based on the satisfaction rate from other users and also because it said it was a 4-star hotel. My review is mixed. First, it should be said that this is not a four star hotel. It is a residency (a.k.a. apartments), and the facilities are just not up to par with a four star rating. Beds are very simple, TVs pretty small, bathrooms very basic (and, in my case with some problem of smell when you flush, and no hot water when you shower). But it was clean, and... HUGE - I counted 6 sleeping rooms, living room, kitchen… Guys at reception were helpful and efficient, helped me book a cab. Neighborhood is not exactly a plus - no sidewalk but a ditch with foul water running. There isn't much nearby, and no restaurant or convenience store at the residency itself. Some small shops up the hill, but the restaurants may or may not be recommendable. Had to stick with chips and beer. So, overall, I cannot give a glaring review, but I am not giving two thumbs down either. It depends on your needs. If you are traveling as a group, you are OK with 2-star and 3-star appartments, reserving well in advance to get a decent rate, and are OK to shop and eat remote or call it in, that can work for you. It is safe and clean. But for the use I had to do, it was not ideal.

We believe in conserving our environment and the toilet smell was due to recycling of water in an effort to maintain a green footprint and conserve water. Now we have found a solution to the smell and we are consistently working to be more energy efficient without sacrificing any services to our guests. Lalco Residency provides 24 x 7 facilities of Hot water in each of our bathrooms, weapologize if you missed hot water button, but we will be sure to place proper sticker on hot water button in a more convenient location in the future to ensure no other guests are inconvenienced in the same way. We do have dining area situated at 1st floor of our premises and we do serve breakfast every day along with lunch and dinner as per guest requests. We are also in the process of renovating our kitchen and as soon as our kitchen in renovated, we will greatly be expanding our meal options and buffet options. The pictures look nothing like the actual building. The building from the outside looks like a slum building, all brown and dirty. The rooms are all painted white, which makes the rooms look really dirty. You will see brown, grey, and black spots all over the walls. The management will try to suck every penny out of you. I ended up staying only 3 nights instead of the 4 booked nights. They made me pay for extra guests for all 4 nights, and wouldn't even refund that when I left. I wasn't even asking for the room refund, just a refund for the extra guests which weren't going to be there. They tried to explain to me how they aren't capable of putting a refund back onto a credit card. There are MUCH better places to stay in Mumbai. The company who stamped this place as a 4 star resort is playing a serious joke.

Very good apartment suitable for families

The apartment hotel had a high level of security and staff was very friendly and service minded. The apartment was cleaned every day very carefully. The material in floor and walls was high quality but doors and windows did not have same standard, which I think is typically Indian. AC worked fine. Kitchen was ok and had the basic stuff for fixing breakfast as quick meals. A minor remark we have is that the safe was not fixed in the wardrobe so anybody could take the safe under the arm and walk away. This is in bright contrast to the general safety we think the hotel has, and the management should check the situation in all apartments. We liked it here and would certainly book this again.

Okay for a short stay with a group of friends

We rented a 3 bed apartment with a group of friends, and stayed 4 nights. The general condition of the apartment was good, and we had all the required amenities. The breakfast wasn't very good, and we had to pay a lot for the wifi internet - about 15GBP per person each.

Good clean and large apartments

Arrived from London to stay for 5 days visiting relatives in Mumbai. Hotel car picked us up from airport. Staff very friendly and helpful at check in desk throughout our stay. They went out of their way to service our needs. Stayed in a 3 bed apt. All had AC but third room is a small single.Hired their car with driver throughout my stay for the whole day and late evenings. Everything worked and the lounge, 2 bedrooms and kitchen (not used) are roomy and pleasant. Even though there is nothing nearby, the location is great for visiting the suburbs. We had dinner most nights in Oberoi Mall which has lovely restaurants and a food court and only 12 mins away by car. Other malls also near by if willing to travel a bit further.The only down side is the breakfast is too basic and pricey for what you get. Also internet access is poor and you only get connection to 1 device per fee. However, would recommend these apartments for visitors to India. They are not 5 star but decent enough 4 star.
