A&O München Hauptbahnhof

No difference with neighbour two star hotels. Breakfast is not for free.

The A and O chain of hotels can be found all over Germany and further afield as I found out whilst staying at this one. The place doubles up as a hotel / hostel, so that gives you an idea of the age range of people who stay there. Saying that, this is the second one I have stayed in, ( the other in Dusseldorf ) and what you get for the price is good. Dont be taken in by the exterior, inside ithe rooms are spotlessly clean and quite spacious ( I had a twin room ). The staff at reception are very knowledgeable and happy to give you inside info about places that are good to visit whilst in Munich. The reception / bar area is very basic and i cant comment on the breakfast as i didnt have any. The rooms are quite away from the bar area and my room was on the first floor and didnt hear any noise coming from the bar. Its about 150 yards away from the entrance to the main station, making it very central for all things in Munich.

It was very easy to find - close to train stations and located in a city centre

For the price is fine, I recommend it for leisure and family vacations

after booking the above hotel I read a review which said 'avoid at all costs' so was a bit worried. however, we were pleasantly surprised. For our 3 night stay the hotel was ideal. We went for the Xmas Mkt which we were able to visit easily on foot - 15 mins walk. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful. Well located close to main railway station. Provided good value continental breakfast.

The hotel's location is very good for visiting around the city. And the family room we stay was ok... for a family of 4. However, if the hotel room can equip with a TV will be much better.

Fantastic location, walking distance from the main train station, city centre and beer garden. Staff were not very smiley but generally helpful. We were allowed to keep our lugguage in the hotel before checking in and after checking out, saved us from dragging the lugguage around. Clean room, have shower gel provided. Not enough cloth hanger when I stayed, the towel was a bit unclean as well. If I visit Munich again, I will surely stay there.

Everything was great about the hotel except that there was no free WIFI. There's a Starbucks nearby that you can use, but it's always nicer and more convenient to be able to access the Internet from the comfort of your hotel room.

have stayed in better hostels in europe...a little disappointing..
