Great Hotel, Good-Value Out-Of-City HotelPosted Jul 18, 2012
This is a great out-of-City Hotel. Good location within 500metres of the S-Bahn Trains and 7-10 minutes train-ride from the heart of Munich. The staff were first rate, always willing to help and offer assistance with a smile. You get good food, a good buffet-style breakfast included in the cost of the room and a good in-house menu for dinners and a lighter-eats menu. There are great little restauarants within a 5-15 minute walk away and a Supermarket, Chemist and other shops with 150 metres in a small and tidy complex. Rooms have amodern decor and housekeeping and cleanliness is great, throughout the whole hotel. We will be using this Hotel again on our next trip.

very nice accommodation, amazing breakfast selection. Less convenient in summer 2012 due to construction on downtown S bahn. Wound up spending 10 euros/day on public transport each day for the two of us, which essentially nullified the value of free parking. But, very very nice room.

Angelo DesignhotelPosted Jul 8, 2012
Pros: Good Wifi, heating in the bathroom, free fruit and lovely breakfast.
Cons: The curtains
Location: 4 train stations from from the main tourist area.
A lovely new hotel with floor heating in the bathroom. Everything looked fresh and the TV worked well as did the Wifi, the A/C and there was also a useful kettle in the room. Apples were provided in the corridor near the lifts with magazines as well. The only problem we had was with the segmented curtaining. When the curtains were pulled across they separated in parts which let in light in the early morning. The breakfast buffet was generous and covered the English and European choices that people usually want. If you are arriving by train the Angelo is about 200m from the Leuchtenbergring Station. Be prepared to bump your suitcase down the stairs at the station as there are no escalators.

Friendly and helpful staffPosted Jul 4, 2012
Pros: Staff, breakfast, convenience to S bahn
Cons: smaller rooms, high weekend rates
Location: A bit outside the city center, but a quick ride on the s bahn. We were there during busy season so it was nice to be staying away from the crowds.
The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful that we have ever encountered. We had just one reception gentleman who could not help when we called about an annoying, ongoing loud sound in our room during the night. While he was a bit rude, the other staff bent over backwards to help us in all aspects. Hotel rooms were small but very functional. Breakfast was the best complimentary one we have had, with a great variety to appeal to both U.S. and international guests. We appreciated the nearby electronics, grocery and drugstore to get a few items we needed. The Sbahn stop was a short walk so we were able to get everywhere we needed from there. the weekend rates seemed a bit high, but the complementary breakfast helped offset.

Great Hotel!Posted Jun 22, 2012
Location: Just a couple of minutes to the U Bahn that takes you anywhere you want to go.
I was quite impressed with the hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and patient and very pleasant. The breakfast they provide in the morning is an outstanding way to start your day. The room was kept clean and the whole hotel was clean and I liked the decor. It is a great place to stay when you visit Munich. I would highly recommend it to all my friends and family.

Excellent hotel in a great locationPosted Jun 19, 2012
Pros: WiFi and buffet breakfast
Cons: No gym or swimming pool
Location: Convenient location - 100m from S train
The hotel is in a great location - only 100m from the train station and a few stops from the city centre (10mins). The room was comfortable and WiFi was a bonus. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection and the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great value for money and I would stay here again.

Overall positive experiencePosted Jun 17, 2012
Pros: Proximity to subway station
Cons: Inability to cope with large volumes of business guests
Only bad experience was that the hotel has no available irons for the first 24 hours of my stay. Not very good when they are supposed to a business hotel and you have to go into a first day of meetings with creased shirts!! Otherwise a very good hotel.

Better than expectedPosted May 8, 2012
Pros: Free Internet and buffet breakfast. Nice bed linens.
Cons: Room size
Location: Ok. Easy to get around.
Nice hotel. Very clean, new, and modern. Free Internet that worked very well- everywhere. Buffet breakfast- awesome spread and many many things to choose from- eggs, lox, cereal, fruits, cheeses, fresh baked breads, and of course German sausages. Rooms are a bit small, but nice. We had a baby crib in our room and it was already cramped without it. If travelling with a child, I would get the bigger room- worth the upgrade. Location was good- close to subway. Not exactly a 'happening area' for going out, but the hotel had a great bar.
