Good & close to the train station.Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Reasonably priced and close to train station.
Cons: Walls need painting.
Location: Around the corner from Munich's central train station and about 15 minutes WALK from old-town Munich.
I had booked this hotel as part of my personal time after a business trip. It was very reasonably priced and a quick walk to the train station. Breakfast is included, but I missed it. The dinner menu is a bit limited, but the food and cocktails were fine. I was traveling alone and the size of MY room was sufficient for one traveler. I didn't see other rooms to comment on their size. My room could have used a paint job. It appears that coffee or such was spilled on the walls. As well, there were many black finger prints on the ceiling... perhaps from maintenance project. However, a decent hotel for the price. There is a Le Meredien around the corner, but in my experience, it is quite expensive. If you're looking for a good hotel to park yourself during your sightseeing, and you're not fussy about amenities, this is a good option.

Good Hotel to stay in the cityPosted Jun 21, 2014
Cons: Cleanliness of the room during the stay needs to be improved.
The staff was very friendly. The location was convenient for us to commute from the city centre railway station. The room was very spacious and clean when we checked in. Will have to take care to ask the staff to clean the room if you are staying for long as we did not know that so the second day only the towels were changed and the room was left unclean except just putting the bedding right. The breakfast was awesome with lots of varieties and the timings to suit your need on holiday.

Good, comfortable and central. Excellent breakfastPosted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Location; space and comfort; peace and quiet; helpful staff; excellent breakfast.
Cons: Kettle and coffee/tea in the room - a minor issue.
Location: Very central. Train station/trams/buses all nearby. Short walk to town centre.
I enjoyed my five-night stay at the Arthotel. It is well located just five minutes or so from the hauptbahnhof and terminus for Lufthansa's Airport Bus. It's a fifteen minute walk to Marienplatz. I had a very comfortable, spacious and clean single room with large fully-tiled bathroom. There was a mini-bar/fridge which would certainly be handy in summer, as would the room's high ceilings. The room was also completely quiet: an unexpected bonus in a city-centre hotel. The staff were courteous and brought me an important phone message promptly one morning. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful: you could rely on it to set you up for the day. And it's served from 6.30 to 10.00am, suiting early risers and those who sleep-in. All in all, I'd thoroughly recommend the Arthotel as a very sound, mid-range option.

Convenient and comfortablePosted May 26, 2014
Pros: Excellent breakfast, near to city center and large rooms.
Location: All the museums are a short walk, the train station is a block away.
We needed a large room to accommodate our older kids. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. Corridors were narrow but artfully decorated with art pieces. Breakfast was excellent with wide variety of fresh choices. Besides cold cuts they had choices of cheese, fruits and how breakfast items. The hotel is a short walk to the train station. The city center is a walking distance. In fact we just walked all the way to the city and back.
