Shower absolutely miniscule, even by European standard and even though we were two women 4"11/128 lbs and 5"2/108lbs.
Also you had to step up really high to get in to the point where it is dangerous, even if you are young and able-bodied. Security chain on door was broken, looked as if it had been pulled out of the wall. I put a suitcase in front of the door just in case, even though the other customers and neighborhood seemed fine. Room was on second floor with a slanted roof that started about 3 feet from one of the beds. I refused to sleep there even though I am short because I was afraid I would sit up in the middle of the night and bang my head, plus it was very claustrophobic. We had two liquid soap vials (one in shower and one at sink) and both were totally empty.
Room was clean but carpet was permanently stained. I have a feeling the cleanliness was more about German standards and that this hotel, if located in the U.S., would have been dirty since the property is not well-maintained.
I liked the fact that the bar was open until 1:00am, even though I did not use it. This hotel seemed scary until I saw that the bar patrons looked normal and fine.
