Nice hotel in a good location!Posted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: Large, clean rooms; delicious breakfast buffet; friendly staff
We stayed at this hotel mainly because it wasn't too far from Munich, where Oktoberfest was. The walk to the metro station was about 10 minutes, and it was a direct train ride into the city center (around 40 minutes). Getting to the airport via public transportation was also extremely convenient and cheap- we took the public bus 635 from the hotel to Freising (around 15 minutes). The only negative thing about the hotel was that it is located in Freising, which is a small town and not too many places to eat/shop around.

Needs renovation near Munich AirportPosted Sep 28, 2013
Stop over on way home through Munich. Convenient to airport. Rooms are barely 2 star quality. Bathroom vent allowed us to hear other hotel guests. No soap. The restaurant was excellent, however. Staff were friendly.

Close to Munich Airport in a picturesque old town with good restaurants. 15 mins to the airport.

In the downtown area, close to Munich AirportPosted Aug 7, 2013
Pros: Location to the hotel and if I had more time, I could've enjoyed downtown Freising.
Cons: Parking signs for the hotel. I got there late enough to park on the street but I did't see where the hotel's parking area was.
Location: There were several restaurants, ice cream parlors and the town square in just feet away. Very nice to walk around.
The hotel might be a bit tricky to get to becuase it is exactly in the downtonw/ pedestrian zone. The hotel is under going major reconstruction but once you get to the room, it's very nice. It's a typical European hotel room; small, just what you need (bed, bathroom, desk, closet) and no AC. The hotel staff was especially helpful and nice. I checked out at 4am, way before breakfast, but the gentleman on duty went out of his way to get me a free cup of coffee for the road.

A very satisfying stayPosted Jun 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel is right in the middle of things in Freising Germany. The town and our hotel, look straight out of a picture book of Bavaria. We were able to walk to shops, restaurants, and of course, beer gardens. The restaurant in the hotel is first rate. The food is excellent, the breakfast was complete buffet style, with service of beverages served by stafff. At dinner, people other than hotel guests dine there. The staff is first rate, and Annette, hotel reception desk went above and beyond in assisting us with local travel arrangements and suggestions.

Room is old but the hotel is renovating. Our room was also too noisy from people in the street returning home in the early morning.

An old hotel with no air condition!Posted Jun 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
Everyone on the website mentioned that this hotel is close to Munich Airport, so that's how I booked it. A few comments: 1. It is close to the airport, but the taxi driver may not know the specific location of the hotel, so the taxi driver drove around the town of Freising for several rounds. I had to walk to the hotel (around 100 m.) eventually. 2. The hotel is so old and it is NOT air-conditioned! The summer was very hot in Europe. The day I checked in was 35 C. and they told me there is no air condition and no ceiling fan or so. If the hotel is not air-conditioned, please list this feature on the Website. Don't cheat and pretend you are a 3-star hotel! 3. the power outlet was dead in my room that day and the reception refused to change a room for me by telling me that the entire hotel was booked! 4. the town of Freising is so small, and if you arrive very late, you won't find any convenient store open or you will have a hard time to find food to eat. If I will be going to Munich again, I will not book a hotel that cannot be reached by public transportation. The train system in Munich is so convenient, and it only takes 40-45 minutes from the central station or the city center to the airport by subway/train. The subway system is almost 24 hours. The hotels in the city are much more nice and more convenient. Anyway, the one-night stay at this hotel was a bad experience for me. I would not recommend it to anyone!
