Hidden Gem - wonderful hotelPosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: Clean, quiet and spacious with everything needed for a comfortable self catering holiday.
Cons: The breakfast seemed a bit on the expensive side - but with facilities to cook breakfast in your room, this was more a shame than inconvenience.
Location: Quite a walk into Munich - it is worth walking 5 minutes to Hackerbruck and getting a cheap S-Bahn train into town. Lidl supermarket is nearby.
Awesome hotel. The listing is quite modest to say the least, you get so much more than is advertised. We checked in with an English speaking member of staff, who completed the painless process in a matter of minutes. The room itself is spacious, clean and a pleasure to stay in. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to make a meal, minus the food. Essentials such as dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid are also provided. The bathroom contains a bath, and is en-suite, this was not made crystal clear on the listing, and was a lovely surprise. The bed was comfy and clean, with a television and DVD player nearby that also rotated towards the seating area. A versatile and effective thermostat meant that the climate within the room could be controlled easily and quickly, which was perfect for humid days and chilly evenings. The hotel is situated on a busy main road, but the windows are extremely sound proof, and the walls were thick - we didn't hear a peep from anybody on our floor all week. The staff were very friendly, and eager to help - especially with small but important issues, such as spare batteries and extra soap. Overall the Citadines was a pleasure to stay in, and well worth the money. We stayed 6 nights, and given the facilities, we would have happily stayed much longer. A lovely hotel for a lovely city break.

Clean and comfortablePosted Aug 19, 2013 on Hotels.com
Right down the street from the Augustiner Keller beirgarten. About a 25-30 minute walk to Marienplatz, but there is a tram stop right outside the hotel. Hotel staff were helpful. Wifi was awesome- it was in the room and it was very high-speed.

Very clean, nicePosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The trolley is right outside the door, which is very convenient. We were two families that had planned to stay together but the person across the hall overstayed his welcome so they put us on two different floors, which was somewhat inconvenient. There were plenty of linens and the staff were helpful and quick when we asked for extra towels and blankets. The internet was very fast.

If we were staying longer in Munich we would have really enjoyed this hotel! Even had a dishwasher. Our room had a separate bedroom.

The staff is wonderful. The beds are very comfortable. The shower is very good. Our room was quite small. Very tiny living room which just fit the sofa bed being pulled out. The breakfast is ridiculously expensive. The neighborhood is not bad, but a little far from the town center.

Good apartment, provided with all services.Posted May 3, 2013
Pros: Handy for tram and stations. Free internet connection and wifi in reception and in rooms. Good facilities, cleanliness and comfort throughout.
Cons: Ceramic hob that took an age to heat up.
Location: As noted, location was OK provided you were happy to use trams or trains. If you want to go into the centre most of the time, it's a fit far to walk.
Good enough location, providing you are happy to use MVV trams/trains to get around. You can see the towers of the Frauenkirche in the distance (see photo). Citadines is in an area consisting mainly of offices and apartments, but you can find a baker, small supermarkets and restaurants within about 5mins walk. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.Room was quiet despite being on a main road. Beds were good, but sofa and chairs could have been more comfortable. We ate out or self-catered - so have no comments about breakfasts.

Nothing specialPosted Mar 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
OK for an overnight stay, but nothing special. Small toilet. No balcony. It was clean, no complaints that way.

Nice place to stay - close to tram stationPosted Nov 22, 2012 on Hotels.com
The place is nice on the inside, one of the better Citadines locations that we have stayed thus far. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The room is nice as well with kitchen facilities. The only drawback is that when we were there, the wireless in the room is not yet implemented. Location-wise, it is next to the tram station which is very convenient
