Munich christmas marketsPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly, very nice hotel at a relatively cheap price
Location: Everything if nearby that you would visit either by train, the sightseeing buses just up the road but for anyone of normal ability you can walk.
December Weekend stay for the munich christmas markets.Perfect location next to train station for airport transfer with bus or train. Short walk to the main shopping area from karlplatz to marienplatz. Also great near the station to explore other areas of munich or to travel to other cities. Hotel very smart and tidy, personally we had a very large room I'm not sure if we were upgraded but for a double it was a lot bigger than previous hotels. Very nice bar and restaurant. Small gym and spa upstairs we never used as such a short trip. We didn't eat breakfast purely cost versus amount we eat for breakfast was not worth it to us but if you like a large breakfast it's reasonable value. Some people have mentioned the area being "seedy" and possibly unsafe , now there are bars nearby so groups of people are about but there's nothing unsafe about the area and I'm not sure what they mean, it's perfectly fine. If I stayed in munich again I'd stay here without hesitation.

Traditional bavarian style meets modernityPosted Dec 15, 2014
Pros: The Kaminbar is very cosy and the cocktails are delicious
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Being so near to the main station is very convenient but at the same time the surroundings are not great.
The hotel is conveniently located although the immediate neighbourhood (train station area) is not very pleasant in the evening. The hotel offers a combination of tradition and modern style which is very nice.

Nice hotel in front of train stationPosted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: The ambience of the restaurant
Cons: Old bathrooms , keeping room reservation deals and friendly concierges !
Location: Just a few steps from the Airportbus stop , very nice underground food shopping .
This hotel is a really beautifull building ! The restaurant is a dream ! Breakfast has a big variety of very good choices ! BUT : I had to fight to get a room like the one I asked and was promised ! After travelling overseas and at my age of 69 years , it was exausting and too much ! But , through all this ordeal , the staff was very friendly . As they were during all my stay ( except the slightly arrogant morning concierge ...) A special praise to house keeping ! To be honest , I don't know if I am going back !

Nice Hotel, close to Main Station and ShopsPosted Dec 1, 2014
Cons: Free WiFi
Location: Main station and transport hub within 50 metres Central shopping area a mere 10 minute walk away. Deutsches Museum, Dachau Concentration Camp & BMW
Friendly welcome and (after pre-arranging) and early check in as I had an early flight Breakfast was good, although there was no toaster! However, a very good choice of good quality food. Room was very clean, warm and quiet. There was no free wifi. For a tourist, nowadays this is essential. I requested a slightly later check out time 1300 instead of 1200. A simple request to Reception - no problem. I will use the Eden again, and soon.
