Excellent stay during Oktoberfest.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The breakfast buffet, helpful and friendly staff, beautiful new building.
Location: Plenty of things to do near and in Munich. We did a Castle tour of Neuschwanstein- which was amazing.
Great hotel in Eching. We stayed in the newly built Apollo building and it could not have been better! Our room was clean, comfortable and very modern. It was about a 10 minute walk to the train, which connected you to the airport or downtown Munich. The included breakfast buffet was the best we had during our stay. The food was fresh, hot and had plenty of options. The front desk staff were so helpful and always friendly. You can even buy your train ticket for the day at the front desk.

Disappointing

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: bathroom was clean
Cons: small ramp to elevator for luggage paint, carpet and lighting - very dark
Hotel was old and badly in need of a facelift There were stairs to the elevator which made getting suitcases around awkward This is NOT a 4 star hotel And it is not particularly close to the airport - still about 35 minutes away - probably a lot longer in rush hour traffic

Golden Tulip Olymp in Eching

Posted Oct 7, 2014
Pros: The location was just right. Just outside of Munich. Close to the train station, a bus stop, a store and the airport. The food was amazing
Cons: I would put in a room safe for the guest. plus air conditioning
Location: Just outside of Munich. Close to the train station, a bus stop, a store and the airport There is a Palace two train stops away. 1/2 hr from everything
What a wonderful hotel! We were truly pleased by how friendly the staff was. The restaurant was amazing. We are going to stay here again if we ever come back to Munich.

okoctoberfest week

Pros: The staff are so friendly and cannot do enough for you, Breakfast and dinner superb.
Location: Far out enough don't to be bothered by okotoberfest but near enough to enjoy.
One of the best hotels stayed in. Staff made the hotel experience even better. would be a bit far out for some people for munich centre but if you don't want to be in middle of madness is perfect

Worst hotel experience EVER

Posted Sep 30, 2014
Pros: restaurant staff is very friendly, although the food we don't like.
I booked a family apartment but was given a regular room. The front desk said "what do you expect a family apartment?". I said it suppose to be a separate living room and bedroom. Then she told me the booking didn't indicate a family apartment and showed me the booking sheet from Expedia. I pointed to her there was clearly stated family apartment in the booking, then she apologised and said all the family apartment was already checked in. "if you can check in in noon time maybe they can gave me the apartment!". So basically they said "tough luck" although its there fault, and they can't make up anything for us, except we can get another room which was not our intention. So my wife, son and myself had to stick to the regular room with 3 beds. I mentioned to the front desk the price difference between normal room and family apartment, he said he need to check with the manager. But when we checkout, there is no words about the price. What a terribly managed hotel, which ended our 4 weeks vacation in Europe.

Great location for Octoberfest.

We did not have a car. The train is an easy 10 minute walk to the station. Breakfast was fabulous! Staff very helpful. Our only problem was the extensive dormers in our room. We are tall and hit our heads several times on the ceiling! Otherwise, great hotel.

Golden Tulip

Pros: Dining room meals.
Cons: Cleanliness of room. Better trained front desk staff.
Was given conflicting and incorrect information regarding taxi service to airport with respect to time, cost and use of credit card by front desk staff. Room (actually an apartment) was dirty. Dining room staff and food were good.

Nice hotel close to airport. Restaurant was 4*

Posted Sep 10, 2014
Pros: We were given a small apartment, so had plenty of room.
Location: We only had 1 night & had searched for a room close to airport for an early next day departure.
We were very pleasantly surprised at how nice the restaurant & bar areas were. The food was excellent & beautifully presented.

Good airport hotel

Posted Sep 7, 2014
Great Breakfast, friendly staff, free parking, wifi is flakey, room is ok for one person but you would have trouble fitting suitcases for two, restaurant is fantastic, clean hotel, can hear noise from other guests when they're in the hallways. All points noted I would stay here again when wanting to be near the airport.
