Mixed reviews - Large Hotel could do better

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Comfortable rooms, English garden nearby
Cons: Management of room allocation, concierge hours, why not have guest information in room as to how to access buses and what tickets you need etc?
Location: Pleasant area near English Garden. Need to get bus to other places this is easy once you know how. Bus stops at hotel every 10 mins.
Check in problems - had to wait almost 2 hours for our rooms to be prepared. Poor management - I spoke to housekeeper myself and she had not been told we were waiting so was just doing each room as she came to it rather than prioritising our one. Reception had not even communicated with her to get our room done promptly. Room turned out not to be what we had booked (King not Twin) and they tried to say it was all that they had. Not acceptable. Eventually they found us another room. I noticed other people had problems at check in too. Swimming pool was closed for the duration of our stay and staff there told me this was not an uncommon problem - can take weeks apparently when they have problems with "water quality". Concierge works 9 to 5 - not ideal for hotel guests who are generally wanting to be out during those hours. Restaurant closed some nights for no obvious reason but not a problem for us as we only ate there one night and found it to be soulless and extortionate in price although food was ok. On the positive side it is a nice location and once we did have a room allocated it was clean, comfortable and quiet and we were given use of the executive lounge (incl drinks and snacks) which compensated for some of our earlier difficulties. Breakfast buffet was reasonable quality not amazing but it was part of our room rate and was certainly enough choice for us. Location pleasant although requires bus travel to reach underground and access town centre.

Excellent hotel will use again !

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Friendly , helpful staff , clean spacious rooms very comfortable, near enough to the centre , but in a quiet location too.
Cons: We booked 2 adults 1 child. Child bed was a chair not bed, next day was offered a roll away bed which was an improvement.
Location: Lovely park close by, also highly recommend Italian restaurant called " Taverna del Sud " close to Tivoli Strasse tram stop , food is great !
I looked at previous reviews about the Hilton park hotel , Munich which were good. We thoroughly loved our stay , and would recommend this hotel. The hotel is located by the park , about a 15 min tram ride from the centre. Don't let this put you off, the trams are very easy to use, always on time, cheap to use. Use the Tivoli Strasse stop only 5 min walk to hotel. The hotel is extremely clean , staff are very friendly , and very helpful. Any requests we had were dealt with at once and we were very pleased . We stayed on the tenth floor and the rooms were very spacious, clean and very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, highly recommend this , worth the money. We would definitely stay in this hotel if we travel to Munich again.

Nice hotel, too bad it was under renovation.

Nothing major to complain about, just the fact that the exterior was under a needed renovation and this affected a little our stay. The entrance loop also needs some redesign.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Pros: Very clean, very modern, and comfortable. The location was great and the girls loved the fitness center.
Cons: It would be nice if the bar area offered beer tasting and education about local beers. It would have helped us as it was our first trip to Germany.
Location: Great location. Between the Isar river and the English Garden. Walking distance to downtown as well.
Awesome location right next to the English Garden. Seems to be a popular hotel for business professionals. Had wonderful walks through the English Garden everyday. Went with my wife and teenager. All 3 of us fell in love with Munich and all of Bavaria for that matter. By the second day, the 17-yr old was downloading apps to learn German and talking about coming back as soon as she can. My wife and I agree!

Don't forget the extra costs.

Nice room, very comfortable. Parking adds a considerable sum to your stay and you must pay for WIFI. Being charged for WIFI seems a little ridiculous.

Nice hotel between city and airport - pleasing

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Efficient business hotel, efficiently located.
Cons: Improve the systems - printing an invoice while the taxi waiting at 6am in the morning should not take 10 minutes!
Stayed only for about 6 hours due to late night events and very early flight, but my experience was quite pleasing. It is only 30 mins to the airport as well.

Business hotel that needs some work

Posted May 25, 2014 on Hotels.com
I asked for a quiet room --and was giving one overlooking the noisy street. I had chosen it because it was next to the Englischer Garten, but I was looking at an office park. Rooms remarkably spartan for a Hilton, not even a bathrobe (heavens!); there was supposed to be a place to get a cup of coffee but it did not open until after 8...
