Comfortable and pleasant stayPosted Dec 4, 2013
Great room for two night business trip and friendly staff. Really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and it was great it was available so early. Room did have a funny smell though which wasn't very pleasant. The shuttle was very handy but a shame it wasn't free.

Cons: Faster and easier check in.
Difficult time checking in. Could not read room number that was given. Did not know how to turn on lights in room. Limited visiting seating area

Look elsewherePosted Oct 24, 2013
Pros: Modern fixtures, good breakfast, polite staff, near airport.
Cons: DO NOT advertise KING BEDS. Offer an air-conditioning system, even in January. (they work this way: hot, turn on. cold, turn off.) Wi-fi, parking
Location: without a car, must depend on irregular bus or expensive madmen taxi drivers. (one cab when called, refused to come because fare not enough)
We chose the Holiday Inn due to proximity to Munich Airport. After arriving, ten dollars to park rental car in order to offload. Nope, parked in Handicapped by entrance, hoping for no ticket. Cleaned out the car and turned it into airport. No hotel bus to return, so took taxi. Driver a moron, not knowing nearing restaurants or understanding anything but Talibanese. He used GPS to find the hotel, and returned us at breakneck speed for $20. Desk personnel were polite and helpful. They explained there were no king-sized beds, only queen-sized. A mixup in advertising and reality. The rooms are too small for anything larger than double beds. This is the fault of Expedia touting KING beds. Shower/toilet fixtures all new and convenient, but very small room. Noise from cars and planes prevent needed sleep (reason for hotels). The room uncomfortably hot with no AC. Open the windows... noise. Close the windows....sweat. When I asked the desk if system was broken, they told me no AC at this time of year (22 October). Apparently, the calendar determines facilities, not thermometer. We will stay elsewhere next trip, and not through Expedia.

Excellent location with a couple of exceptionsPosted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Pretty much everything except for the ancillary charges for the shuttle, parking and Wi-Fi which should be nullified.
Cons: The beds! There are no king beds, and the queens are small and uncomfortable. Best bet for two people is the twin beds which provide king bed space.
Location: Lots of villages nearby, close to Dachau should you chose to tour the concentration camp (very disturbing). Easy access via rail to Munich central.
Proximity to airport was excellent and shuttle service was efficient, although there was a E-5.00 shuttle charge which should be incorporated into the accommodation rate. Hotel staff was superior, especially the front desk staff who were all multi lingual, efficient and helpful. It was an excellent choice for us to spend our last three nights in the area with easy access to the airport. Also, from the airport it is simple to board a train to commute 40 minutes to central Munich. Easy to reach via the Munich Ring Road and parking is available, although there was an E-8.00 per night fee. The hotel charges a per diem fee for Wi-Fi, unless you are a hotel card holder when it is free. I think charges for Wi-Fi are ridiculous in any format. Breakfast was quite good and was part of the room fee.

greatPosted Oct 5, 2013
more in Munich moving around in subway is cheap and easy. you get a 20 euro pass for up to 5 people and you use it also until the next morning at 6 am even in buses. that bus uncluded in that pass...the 512 takes you from de door if the airport terminal 1 to the hotel and you hop off on the stop called sportplatz. the travel between airport and hotel is 10 or 15 minutes. the hotel is as well as any other american holiday in express. becareful with the last bus from the airport to the hotel at 11.15 pm and the last train from munich s8 to the airport flughafffen or something like that. wont regret...cheap and easy..and dont have any problems movin your luggage when leaving.

Cramped quarters, hazardous bathroomPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Good free breakfast included. Nice Bavarian restaurant about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.
Cons: cramped quarters and potential bathroom hazards
Location: Near the airport.
This facility is located well outside of Munich, which may be an option if rooms are tight for some local event like Oktoberfest. The rooms are small and cramped. The double bed is adequate but not very comfortable. The couch expands as another bed but the size of the room discourages this. Noise is always a concern at airport hotels. In this case, the soundproofing and quality windows control noise to very acceptable levels. The bathroom door opens 90 degrees to close off the toilet to make a mini-room but it's easy to smash your fingers in the process. The shower is cramped and requires some care getting in and closing the door without injury. By the sink is a shelf that sticks out about 5" and is a hazard. Bending over to pick up a dropped item can result in a head collision with the shelf and an injury unless significant care is taken. The small room and bathroom hazards make this hotel a less than optimal choice.
