Pros: The overall package was very good, nothing in particular to praise over anything else.
Location: Though 2 stops away from the Marienplatz, the local area is pretty dead, but at least that means it is quiet around there.

The Absolute Best!Posted Oct 20, 2013
This hotel was fantastic! We arrived roughly 7 hours before check in, and I was very sick dealing with a rough bout of motion sickness from our overnight train. We asked if we could check in early and they found us a room, and allowed us to check in right away. Throughout our whole stay all the entire staff was incredible kind, and extremely helpful! The rooms were INCREDIBLY clean, and BY FAR the largest we stayed in during our time in Europe (it honestly made us feel like we were staying back in the states). Also, the hotel is a very easy walk from Marienplatz (about 15 minutes).

Great Munich LocationPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Hotel was clean and staff professional and responsive to our requests. Hotel bar was very popular and crowded during our stay.
Cons: Price for breakfast was prohibitive, so we went elsewhere.
Location: Too much to list here! We were there for ten days, went to Oktoberfest and many other locations during our stay. There was still much to do!
Easy access to and from the airport. Can get to Rosenhiemerplatz station through underground shopping mall directly from Holiday Inn. Great location! Two stops on the S Bahn (5 Minutes) puts you in the center of Munich at Marienplatz. Check in/Check out was easy. Arrived too early to check in, but hotel secured our baggage so we could spend some time checking out the local area. Very pleasant experience overall.

Very good & reasonably priced hotel in Munich...Posted Oct 2, 2013
Pros: Very reasonably priced and its proximity to great public transportation
Cons: Can't think of anything
Location: Located just outside the city center/Marienplatz, and by using the S and U-Bahn, you really are not far away from anything
Well, on my most recent trip to Munich, for Oktoberfest, I preferred a hotel that fairly close to the city center (Marienplatz) or the Theresewiese. Even though this Holiday Inn didn't exactly match that criteria (it wasn't that far from Marienplatz and the Wiesen, but not that close either), I took a shot and booked my stay there, I am sooooo glad I did! Getting there was so easy and painless! There is an S-Bahn station directly below the hotel, so you get dropped off right at the hotel!!! And the hotel itself was quite nice and modern. Staff was very helpful. This Holiday Inn was also very near many eating options. No complaints about the room. Clean and comfy. I am so glad I took a shot and stayed at this Holiday Inn. I would do it again...

OktoberfestPosted Sep 29, 2013
Cons: Rather expensive breakfast and in-room internet options.
Very easy to get to via the underground train system - get off at Rosenheimer Platz and follow the signs (no need to go to street level). Helpful front desk staff, provided us with a variety of maps and suggestions for dinner and sightseeing. Very comfortable rooms.

Location, location, location!Posted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Holiday Inn Munich City Center is conveniently located above the Rosenkrantz S-bahn/subway station, so getting to the hotel is very easy if you are traveling from the airpoint or central train station. (There is an elevator in the subway station that takes you straight up to the hotel lobby!) Also, the subway station has a number of businesses in it, including two supermarkets, a couple of clothing retailers, a number of fast food restaurants, a konditorei (pastry shop), and a hair salon -- all underground! The surrounding neighborhood also has several restaurants within walking distance. The city tram line, Isar river, and Marienplatz square (old city center) are all within walking distance (1 mile or less). The hotel also offers a reasonably priced breakfast buffet. The only downside of this hotel was the size of the room that we stayed in. The standard room has pretty cramped quarters with very little space to spread out, eat a meal, or just relax. However, if you plan to spend most of your time in the city and just need the room to sleep in, then the size of the room really doesn't matter much.

Good locationPosted Aug 20, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was chosen for proximity to Munich centre and reliable quality associated with Holiday Inn. We were very satisfied with out stay on both counts. We were able to walk to any part of the centre in 15 minutes . The hotel is also conveniently situated for S Bahn

Nice hostsPosted Aug 6, 2013
Location: Easy walk to mariienplatz.
Look for big Internet charges. Shouldn't Internet be free ? The breakfast sucks. The morning dining room manager does too.
