“Not a bad Hotel”

Very centrally located, across from the train station. Parking and internet is avalable for an extra charge per day. Front desk staff was very helpful, hotel was nice. Rooms are standard European, small by American standards but decent. We had a triple bed room for 3 people, pillows are a bit thin but that is what seems to be the standard in Europe. The shower/toilet room was tiny and awkward but worked. Breakfast was great, best selection we had in any of the hotels that we stayed in during this trip to Germany. Would recommend this hotel if you want something reasonable and central.

“A great base of operations”

Our philosophy is that hotels are for sleeping. They should be safe, clean, reasonably comfortable -- but when you are asleep, four or five star amenities mean nothing. Amba fits the bill. Convenient to the railway station and Marienplatz. Good breakfast buffet.

“Highly reccommend”

Hotel Amba has a great location, right across the street from the train station, and an easy 10-15 minute walk from the city center. The rooms are small compared to American standards, but very clean and typical for European standards. The breakfast buffet was very good, and the staff was very friendly. The room tended to get warm at night so we slept with the window open; unfortunately the street outside the hotel is very busy and the police were always going by, but you get use to the sirens at night.

“Hotel Amba”

The hotel was a good one. I wanted to be close to Munich's hauptbahnhof which is the ideal place to begin a trip around the city with its S and U bahn's. The rooms were clean and my only complaint was a tricky to unlock door which was not much trouble once you got the hang of it. The service was friendly and overall very good. I liked the breakfast too which was pretty good for being free. I'd recommend this hotel to any fellow travelers.

“loved it”

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and professional. The rooms were small, as is the cast with most European hotels, but the cleanliness and comfort as well as location more than made up for this small detail.

“Great hotel”

Great hotel. Very close to the train station, but still an easy walk to the center of town. As is the case for all hotels near a train station, some of the businesses near the hotel were not the best, but the hotel itself was great.

“Small rooms, great service”

This hotel is conveniently located across from the train station and offers very good, English-speaking service. Even though our room overlooked the busy street next to the train station, I didn't notice excessive noise, particularly when using the hotel-provided earplugs. An internet station is provided in the lobby. The breakfast was excellent. As negatives, the room was small and the shower could have used some new grout. However, the positives certainly outweighed the negatives.

“Great, convenient location”

Location is key - right across from the main station making it easily accessible to the entire city. (many tours leave from the train station as well). Super friendly staff, very helpful. Room was larger than I expected (by European standards), and the breakfast was great. Decor was bright and cheery, albeit a little cheesy. Great deal for the price, would stay again.
