City centre hoteloPosted Dec 4, 2013
This hotel is ideal for a short walk to the historic centre of Munich. However the area it is located in can best be described as seedy with lap dancing clubs located nearby. Facilities are basic but room are clean and tidy if a little small.

Pros: The location by the station was good, and the staff were helpful. Nearby shops trams etc
Cons: The lap dancing clubs on the street could do with being elsewhere - I'd checked streetview, and the area around the hotel looked fine, but out of date
Location: It was an ace location, having said that, as it was possible to walk to the museum quarter and to Marienplatz and the viktuellen Markt easily.
Having tried to choose a not dicey area, we laughed as we passed lap dancing clubs. Oh well! Wan't a problem in the end, but not my cup of tea (though clearly ok for lots of blokes).

Good location very close to centre of Munich.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Great few days in the city. Lots to do and see We were a group of 5 and by purchasing a group ticket we had access to all the transport system for about 13 euro s. So get out and explore. I can recommend the HB. spent a few good hours there.

Great LocationPosted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: Location, location, location... And it's clean!!
Great hotel, walking distance to Hauptbanhof (central train station), Marien platz and Octoberfest grounds. Room was very clean, free breakfast was excellent, staff were ok considering it is difficult for foreigners to receive assistance from most Europeans. Only downside, the street itself is in the red light district. Had no issues though, felt completely safe. The street is also full of restaurants that are pretty much open 24/7. Absolutely recommend this hotel for quality, price and location.

Belle Blue Hotel MunichPosted Aug 21, 2013
Pros: Quick access to train, bus, tour companies and major attractions were all within walking distance
Cons: Strip clubs and all the drinking in the streets
Easy access to train, Marienplatz and general amenities. Breakfasts okay but no variety if you're staying for any length of time. Would have liked more fresh frit. It was really nice to have access to good coffee for most of the day. Staff at front desk were very helpful. Room was a bit small but very comfortable and nicely modernized. We would recommend it. Be aware there are many strip clubs in the area and sometimes there is some early morning action on the street but we felt safe enough in the area whenever we were out and about.

Nice placePosted Aug 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel Belle Blue was a nice place to stay. The surrounding area is the red light district so I wouldn't recommend it to families but for everyone else, its fine. It is very close to the main train station and to Marienplatz so it was a great location. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and I was very happy that it had air conditioning. The room was a little small but it is very typical of European hotels. The only problem we encountered was on the first day we very much needed a nap in the afternoon and the restaurant next door is quite loud (we were on the second floor). But everything else was great. I would stay here again the next time I travel to Munich.

Pleasant stay except for the lady on duty when checking in - if she has no interest in working in the hospitality industry then she should move on - what a sour looking face and not a smile - unfriendly, to say the least. Sadly, She was on duty too when we checked out and had to face that unsmiling face all over again. Not a pleasant introduction to the hotel nor one for departure too.

Location: Right by the main train station all the main sights of the old city are easily accessible by foot and further afield by public transport.
It is a clean and modern hotel excellently located for exploring Munich on foot or public transport. The breakfast buffet is delicious - a highlight.

Ok, not what I had hoped....Posted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
Booked this hotel for four nights in Munich. Previous reviews did mention that there were strip clubs in the area, which is true, but it was not at all an unsafe feeling area. The location was good, easy to walk to the center of the city. The bed and bathroom were clean (initially), but the walls were covered in dirt which was pretty gross. It also seemed that despite housekeeping coming in and straightening up the room, they didn't end up really cleaning the bathroom. Would look for a different hotel next time.
