“Great place to stay.”

Hi. The service is the most notorious good thing about this hotel, staff is very helpful and corteous. It is noticeable that they want to please customers. For example in the breakfast area there are hand made decorative elements that make your breakfast time pleasant. They are always punctual with the breakfast time. I used the hotel for 5 days and the room was left always clean, in order. The location is great, very close to the train station and other important areas of Munich. For the price of this hotel what we receive in exchange is more that we expect.

“Just a Few Minutes From the Station!”

I was quite pleased that I was allowed to check-in early (around 10:30 a.m.) after an overseas flight! Also, the hotel is easy to find and just a couple of minutes by foot from the Hauptbahnhof (Munich Central Station). My single room was a little small, but I stayed just one night and didn't spend much time in it. The free Internet and the nice breakfast were pluses!

“near Munich Haupbahnhoff train station”

This hotel was on the seedier side of the Munich Haupbahnhoff train station. It was a few blocks walk from the station, but you had to walk past a few strip clubs. We were serenaded by a few drunks one night as they walked home. We didn't feel unsafe walking, although we also weren't out late at night. The room had a window that allowed a clear view into the room from the bathroom which didn't make sense. There was awindow blind t, but it didn't provide adequate blockage of light if you turned on the light at night. We did enjoy the German breakfast which was included in our rate.

“NIce hotel, convenient to the train station”

We enjoyed our stay at the Belle Blue. One of the highlights was the amenities provided: a coffee machine in the lobby for use free of charge all day and night as well as a free glass of wine in the evening. The staff was friendly and helpful. This hotel is cute and charming, with lots of blue touches. Our room was on the smaller side and needed to be painted. The rug and chairs were a bit worn. However, there seems to be pride of ownership, and the hotel staff were actively working on updating the hotel while we were there. They seem to care about feedback received and have responded to previous complaints listed in reviews by updating the facilities and adding amenities. It was nice that there was an elevator. Breakfast was included and of average quality. It was served in a nicely decorated breakfast room. The hotel is unfortunately located in a sketchy area with a few table dance bars. However, since we had read this in the reviews, we were prepared. It really wasn't a problem. Assuming you're not out in the middle of the night, it's fine. We did not experience any noise or disturbances.

“OK, overall. Too tall for shower.”

It was hard to tell if the room was clean because the carpet is black and orange (dark) and the tile in the bathroom was almost black... it could have been filthy and I would have been unable to tell. The dingy looking, tacky blue/teal walls with splatter on them here and there did not help me assume the best. If you are over 6 ft. tall, you will not fit in the shower. This was unfortunate for both my husband and I as I am 5' 11" and he is 6' 5". I was told that the showers in every room were the same. The room was quiet, no street noise. AC seems to be a rarity in Europe so that was nice. Bed was not very comfortable. The location was very convenient to everything - short walk to the train station and sites. Though there were a number of strip clubs very near, the neighborhood was fine, despite some of the other reviewers who mentioned it was a shady location. Several good restaurants very near. Breakfast was sufficient with nice variety, nothing hot, however, except boiled eggs. I definitely did not feel that is was worth the money as I was there the week before Oktoberfest and the prices were high everywhere that week.
