“An excellent stay”
Clean, comfortable, and quiet hotel staffed by courteous, helpful people. Great location for visiting Nymphenburg Castle, park, and local biergarten; with easy walking distance access to streetcars to the center of Munich. Family friendly, yet with old world charm that couples will enjoy as well.
“Quiet neighborhood away from the city”
The hotel staff was possibly the best we encountered during our 10 day vacation. They spoke incredibly good english and were very honest about what to see and do. It is only about a ten minute walk to the trolley to get downtown. Once you get to the Marienplatz you are good to go just about anywhere. Their breakfast was very good for 8 euro. The best soft boiled eggs around! No lift, but they were very helpful if you need a hand getting your bags to your room. Free wifi available as well for 2 hours at a time. They will give you as many extra codes if you ask. One of the most amazing things to me about such a technology driven country is how far behind they are with wifi spots and...if you do find them they are usually pay sites like Tmobile.
“Hospitality and Comfort near Schloss Nymphenburg”
If you are a parent with small children this could be a great place to stay in Munich. The park of the Schloss is exceptionally beautiful, large, varied and full of water fowl. The Schloss is interesting to visit. And there is a children's science and nature museum in a wing of the Schloss. Although Isaiah could not understand the audio, he still loved the wonderful animal exhibits. The neighborhood is pleasantly calm, with excellent restaurants that cater to families with children. We especially liked Schwaige Bier Garten in the Schloss, which even had a small playground with toys. There are small shops but not many - mostly a residential neighborhood. The hotel is quaint, very well taken care of and the staff is exceptionally warm, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is perfect German big breakfast in a light filled room with charm. Very easy to relax and enjoy.
“Lovely”
Great neighborhood and just close enough to Munich. Lovely owners. We had a really long day and just wanted to go to the room and relax with a movie and we were provided a dvd player and the owner went to his room to get us a few dvds to watch. Would definetly go back!
“Nice place!”
The hotel owners also run it - they are awesome! Great location, very cool building, clean and comfy, etc.
“Immer wieder”
Ein Hotel das man jedem Empfehlen kann sehr gute Lage Gutes Frühstücksbuffe zuvorkommende Bewirtung Guter Service
“Great stay in Munich”
We loved this hotel and would recommend highly. The guys at the front desk were extremely helpful (we did not meet the owners)- carrying bags, serving drinks in the lobby in the evening, giving us directions & suggestions, ordering takeout pizza for us, mailing our postcards. The breakfast was excellent, the hotel clean and well kept. We had three rooms, 2 doubles and a single. The windows open, fans are provided for circulation. 1 room was large, the other two standard. Double room doors kept the noise out. Bathrooms very nice, clean. Computer for guest use in the lobby was convenient so we could check in for our flight online and check email. Other than the ambitious maid who wanted to clean the rooms at 7:30 am, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. It is not super close to downtown, but a 15 min easy tram or taxi ride. The tram stop is a 5 min walk as is the Nymphenburg palace and Hirschgarten beer garden. Nice quiet neighborhood, a couple of restaurants, some stores nearby.
“Great Place to Stay”
We had a great experience at the Hotel Laimer Hof. Sebastian was so helpful in recommending places to visit, eat, and shop. The neighborhood is quiet and away from the crowded old town area, but easily accessible to the sites by tram. We had a car and parking was easy at the hotel. Breakfast was great every day and the room very comfortable. We'd definitely return!
“Gerne wieder, sehr kinderfreundlich”
“Very nice hotel”
My wife and I stayed in this hotel, it is a small one, and the service is very friendly and personal. They gave us tips about were to visit or eat, and they also were very felxibale about the time for breakfast (if you would like to wake up late on Sunday). It is neither in the centre of the city, nor in a walking distance, so you need to take transportation to there. The room was also small, so you should bear this in mind if you are looking for a big room. If you like to have jogging in the morning the nymphenburg is really really close, so you can have a beatiful jogging in the park there, with the nice birds, and gardens.
