This hotel is in a very nice neighborhood. Easy walks to Nymphemburg Palace, restaurants, and public transportation. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating! Rooms were in good condition, clean, and comfortable night sleep. This hotel was an excellent value, highly recommend for anyone who would like to spend time in the city of Munich!

Wonderful Hotel Experience

Posted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
What can I say, this stay in Munich was awesome. Sebastian and Alexandra were the perfect hosts very helpful and friendly as were all the staff. Hotel, although out of the central city is an easy commute. Gorgeous heritage hotel with restaurants within walking distance and the Nymphenburg Palace only a walk away where you can also pick up the Hop On Hop Off bus. Friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. Would love to go back. Sebastian you are amazing!

Three night break with my student son

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Great location
Cons: The bedroom would have benefited from having a chest of drawers
Location: We found two excellent local restaurants
The family-run hotel provided the perfect location for our holiday. Non-stop train link straight from the airport to a station just 10 mins walk from the hotel (there is a local bus if you want). There are very easy transport links into the centre of Munich - by tram from Romansplatz which is a very short walk from the hotel. There was always someone available on reception to give advice and information about how to get anywhere, to book tickets, buy travel tickets - whatever we needed they could provide - an excellent service.

A Refreshing Stay

Posted Aug 9, 2014
Location: The Nymphenburg Palace is the obvious attraction, but don't miss the botanical gardens (if you're into plants and such). They're delightful.
During our three week, urban vacation throughout several major European cities, this hotel stands out as a peaceful respite from the constant noise and movement found almost everywhere else. Taking the metro to the hotel from the airport, we were concerned that the location would be distant from the city center, but thanks to Munich's efficient public transportation system, we didn't find this to be a problem at all. In fact, we enjoyed being on the outskirts of the city because we had more of a residential experience while still being close to enticing attractions. More notably, however, was the service. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with an abundance of enthusiasm delivered with a sense of authenticity. We were given practical recommendations, and throughout our stay, the staff continued to go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. They are a breath of fresh air. In fact, we found all of Munich to be this way.

Best hotel of our Europe trip

Posted Jul 14, 2014
This beautiful hotel may be a little way out of Munich city central but it is well worth the fifteen minute (or so) tram ride. The outisde and inside are both seriously adorable, especially the little turrets on the top floor. Convenient for both tram and S-Bahn train and a whole host of delicious dining options. Most excitingly, the hotel is only three minutes walk from the beautiful Schloss Nymphenburg palace. The hotel staff are supremely helpful, telling us all about the important sites of Munich, offering advice on how to get around and on the best places to eat. Rooms are good-sized, very clean with good shower pressure in the bathroom and comfortable beds. Will stay again next time I am in Munich.

It was so much fun staying here at this small, privately owned hotel! Sebastian and his wife, and ALL of their staff went out of their way to make us welcome. They are awesome at directing folks to points of interest in their city. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat! There is no elevator, but the staff is willing to help get you bags where they need to go. If you have difficulty climbing stairs this hotel may not be for you, but if you can climb the stairs, this is the place to stay...reasonable rates, wonderful breakfast bar, free parking and Wi Fi... Couldn't be any nicer!
