“A good two star hotel.”
The staff are great. The rooms are nice but not overly done. Don't go there during the summer as there is no air condiditoning and the room did get hot.
“Hotel located above a strip club, not suitable for families”
We arrived late after driving in from Austria. It turns out that the hotel was located above a strip club (there was an open door to that club near the elevator that we needed to take to get up to our hotel rooms). The rooms had no air conditioning, it was hot and poorly ventilated, and there was a lot of noise coming in from outside. The bed squeaked very loudly, and when we lifted the mattress to see why, we found a layer of disgusting filth. There were other strip clubs in the area, and when I went to get our car from the parking garage, my wife and adolescent daughters were approached by creepy men looking for prostitutes. Turns out the free WiFi that wa advertised did not even work (no signal), because we wanted access to the Internet to find another place to stay. We checked out the following morning as soon as we could get rooms at another hotel. The hotel then only gave us a refund for two nights, when we originally were going to stay five, and checked out after only one night.
“Friendly place to stay”
The hotel is in an area very near the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) so is convenient for travel. Not in the best area of town but the hotel itself was wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. They were helpful with all of our questions and the breakfast was great. The room was small but clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend it to travelers on a budget.
“Good Value”
The surrounding area is a bit unpleasant, but the hotel itself is comfortable.
