Away from town centre

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Great hotel if you don't want the crowds in the town centre. Close to English Gardens and also on convenient bus route ( No. 100 ) which runs every 10 mins into town and back out to all major art galleries. Fantastic deli shop for breakfast etc opposite, ( Kaefer ) so don't book hotel breakfast.

Nice hotel in quiet neighborhood. Rooms were quite spacious and very comfortable. Complimentary mini bar was a nice touch.

Very good value, high quality hotel with friendly

Posted Jun 23, 2015
Very friendly and helpful staff, free minibar(!), lovely terraces on 4th and 5th floors to enjoy your free daily beer, and good quality modern rooms. The air-conditioning was not brilliant and the standard pillows hopeless, but take advantage of the pillow menu to solve this problem...we worked that out after the first night! Breakfast is a bit pricey, but the hotel has a beautiful courtyard garden in which you can enjoy your scrambled eggs. Location is good, if you are looking for a bit of seclusion fairly close to the centre.

Somewhat Disappointing

Posted Jun 20, 2015
Pros: Reception area
Cons: Rooms are over priced for their size and amenities
Location: Excellent restaurant across the street. Along way from Marien Platz, Englisher Gartens, museums, etc. Be prepared for long walks or taxi rides
Excellent Reception and bell staff, very friendly, made you feel very welcome. Helpful with directions and suggestions. We only ate breakfast (no dinners) but the food was very nice. The "Superior Room" was very small, also very cramped in the bathroom / shower. Cleaning staff very hit and miss as far as replacing towels, soap and failing to empty waste baskets. During this particular trip we visited Budapest, Prague, Vienna and Munich this was least impressive hotel on our trip.

Not so central position has its advantages

Posted Jun 17, 2015
We stayed at the Munchen palace over the weekend of Munich's birthday so the city was teeming with people. It was wonderful fun but I was pleased to retreat to our lovely hotel outside the city centre (about a half hour walk). Lovely garden where we enjoyed our delicious evening meal

Very clean and friendly staff

Posted Jun 14, 2015
This was my first trip to Munich so your basically taking a chance and hoping for the best. And I was not disappointed. The hotels staff is very friendly and the rooms are very clean and cozy. It's only a short walk to town center. And I would defiantly recommend this hotel.

Convenient to transport, quiet and great staff. Breakfast seemed expensive so ate at cafe across the road.

Excellent customer service in a beautiful hotel.

Great staff. All spoke English very well & were extremely helpful. Loaner bicycles to ride. Room with balcony was perfect. Nice location just on the east side of the Isar in a pretty neighborhood setting. Highly recommended.

Charming boutique hotel.

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Staff, ambience, breakfast and bar. Close to the park.
Location: Near the park. You can rent bikes from the hotel and spend hours in a park that is bigger than Central Park. 10 minute cab ride from city center.
Our cab driver told us this hotel was where the affluent Germans stay when they visit Munich. If you want a Marriott experience, look elsewhere. Charming bar and breakfast area, bikes to rent, friendly, professional staff. Would definitely return.
