With a wonderful concierge, helpful front desk personnel, exquisite food, a great bar and staff, and a beautiful location, this is for me the best hotel in Munich.

Our first choice In MunichPosted Jul 22, 2013
Pros: The general service and impeccable English speaking staff.
Cons: Price and quality ratio for breakfast was a bit out of balance.
Location: An excellent, safe and convenient location. A few minutes in the cheap and very regular buses gets you right into the centre.
The Palace is a great hotel, a quick bus ride from the heart of the old town, with impeccable staff and a real commitment to makiing your stay pleasant and easy. Only quibbles are you have to log on to the free wifi each day and breakfast is all right but not great for the price. However, breakfast in the garden is a stunningly beautifully experience, as are late afternoon drinks. It would be our immediate first choice on any return to Munich, a city we also loved. The area around the hotel is well served with good restaurants and there is a very good deli and wine shopacrossthe road. This is an affluent and very safe neighbourhood.

Great Stay!Posted Jul 7, 2013
We had a great experience at Hotel Minchen. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating of our early arrival. We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the garden. The room was very comfortable and minibar items were complimentary and they accommodated special requests. We took advantage of the bikes they had available to ride through the English Garden and explore Munich. We also had a great meal in the garden. Although we didn't have time to take advantage of the steam room and work out facilities, they were very nice. The hotel is located about a 15 walk to the center of the city. If you like to be in the middle of the city this hotel might not be your best choice, but we loved the quiet location and would definitely stay here again.

Great 3 Night Weekend Trip to Munich - US TravelerPosted Mar 24, 2013
Incredibly well-maintained hotel, professional and enthusiastic staff and concierge, and good (though expensive) restaurant. The location is really perfect, as it avoids the touristy parts of Munchen's city center while being at a good walking distance to all the major parks and attractions of the city. It is located in a very quiet and upscale residential area overlooking the Isar River and in close proximity to the beautiful Englischer Garten. Best way to explore the city is to use the hotel's free bike rentals, as Munchen is a very bike and pedestrian friendly city with bike lanes on almost every street. Special thanks to the concierge staff - I tried to tip them after they had helped me fix my bicycle, but they graciously refused my tip.
