Hotel location

Posted Oct 18, 2013
Pros: The staff were very friendly and helpful
Cons: The carpets in the rooms and passages looked very tired, and looked like the needed a good spring clean. I walked with slippers and socks in the room
Location: Central station Hop-on-hop-off Altstad
Hotel was very well placed to the central rail station as well as to the collection point for the hop-on-hop-off tours Was also within walking distance of the Altstad The only issue is that my bedroom windown looked onto a construction site....the builders arrived on site at 07h00 every morning to work...this was my morning wake up call Was a little nervous about the area/across the road is two youth hostels

Close to train station

Pros: Central location
Cons: Noise reduction in rooms
Too close to hostels, lots of noise late at night from young people in the street.

Good hotel

Posted Sep 12, 2013
Cons: Wifi strength.
Location: Walk or take taxi to old town. See the nautical museum and aquarium. Tapas bars are very good and lots of them.
Good hotel. Very convenient next to bus station and 20 minutes walk to old town along the river. Hotel staff very helpful and polite. Rooms a bit noisy and wifi weak in room. Otherwise a good place to stay.

Not a 4 star hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room was booked for 2 adults- but we only received 1 bath towel, 1 set of pillows and 1 small quilt to fit a single bed. When we asked for extra towels the concierge said we had to wait 45 minutes as he could not leave the desk and we had to wait for another staff member to start work. The room came with coffee and tea facilities but there was no coffee in the room. There was only 1 bottle of shampoo, 1 bath gel and 1 shower cap. We would expect conditioner and other bathroom amenities in a 4 star hotel. When house keeping cleaned our room they didn't replace these items. The website advertised parking for 12 euro but we had to pay 18 euro. There was no iron in the room, but it had an ironing board. The room was very small, with the bed pushed up against a wall. The room had air conditioning which worked. The staff were polite but their service was not "4 star" service. The lift doors were very slow to close.

LEONARDO HOTEL, MUNICH

Posted Aug 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Terrible stay because of dreadful noise made by dozens of drunk youths in front of the hotel which did not die down till 3 am both nights we were there. It's a shame because property itself was very clean and comfortable, but what the use when you cannot sleep ???

Originally given a room that faxced the street, the same street with 2 back-packers across the street. ver noisey for the first night so requested (and got with no trouble) another room. Good helpful staff. Would use it again and recomend it to friends (as long as you can ensure you don't get the rooms facing the street.

Great location

The hotel staff were excellent. There is an Italian restaurant beside the hotel where all the locals go. Inexpensive prices but a great meal.

A snug and comfortable home-from-home

Posted Mar 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
For me it was a lovely home-from-home with a lovely helpful lady on Reception who made me feel welcome and secure. Good breakfast, gluten-free bread available. The room was small but satisfied all my needs; a desk, hotel wifi (not free but affordable), a lovely en-suite, very comfortable bed, quiet courtyard location, tea and coffee making facility...

Right in the heart of the City

Great location, seconds from the station and only 40 mins to the airport or 20 mins to the trade fairs.
