Prepaid reservation and no room.Posted Sep 12, 2014
We prepaid back in August the nights of Sep 3 and 4 at the above location. We chose that particular location since it was within walking distance from the relatives we were visiting in Munich. After a very long travel day we arrived at the hotel at about 22:00. We were checked in and given the keys to the room. We noticed a strange verbal exchange in german between the two reception employees who were also smirking and found that puzzling. We carried all the heavy luggage upstairs to the room. Before trying to open the door, we heard the TV on in the room and thought it was a nice greeting gesture from the hotel management towards an older and tired couple, customers who PREPAID their room. We couldn't open the door with the key given at reception. We knocked and someone came and actually opened the door from the inside and advised us that the room was theirs. It goes without saying we became very irritated, upset and disappointed to find ourselves in that situation at what was by now well past 22:00. Back to the reception we went, dragging all the heavy luggage back down. Even before arriving at the desk, your two employees started smiling when seeing us and immediately advised us they had no room for us and that we have to go to another location. We ended up going to another Leonardo hotel location. By the time we went to bed, it was 2 AM in the morning; of course we had difficulty navigating at night through Munich towards a location at some 10 kms farther away.

Nothing to do in the area. Avoid if trip is for Munich leisure visit.

Not the newest, but very nice indeedPosted Aug 12, 2013
The hotel is a bit of a walk from the nearest tram or U-line station (approximately a mile through the suburban neighborhood along a busy road). The hotel itself is clean and well kept up and I would stay here again.

Weekend in MunichPosted Aug 12, 2013
Pros: Staff was helpful and taxi cab available when needed.
Cons: Have one english speaking chanel on the TV. Breakfast was expensive.
Location: Chinese Beer Garden in the English Garnden. Took the City bus tour.
Traveled to Munich for the weekend. Hotel is close to the English Garden. Very nice & secluded away from the busy city center.

This is a 15 min cab ride from the city center. They only had smoking rooms available and they smelled like smoke. BAD.

Worked well for a family of fourPosted Feb 18, 2013
Pros: People were nice and helpful
Somewhat aged but very conviently located for a break in our long trip from the uk to Austria. Staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast better than i expected. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but the bathroom was somewhat dated. We were comfortably accommodated as two adults and two children. The neighbourhood was not inspiring nor the hotel building but it was a short walk to the underground so i wish i had had the time to take the family downtown. Not fancy but i would stay there again as value was reasonable.

Good Hotel with GlitchesPosted Dec 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
During all my previous stays with Holiday Inn it was a great experience so this time though it was not the WORST i was disappointed. There was this lady in the reception at night who has no courtesy. Housekeeping did not clean up and restock the coffee suppliments till I had to call the reception 2-3 times for all the 3 days that I stayed there. Overall it was Ok-Good levels.
only good if you take a cabPosted Dec 6, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is a good walking of 15 minutes from the U station, during our visit it was snowing all day, therefore that 15 mins is not very pleasant one. Make sure contact hotel for the shorter route before you arrive as we've spend more than 30 minutes walk our way there from the Arabellapark station. The room is good and the bed is comfortable, heating works well, a typical holiday inn you can expect. However, there is absolutely nothing around the hotel, except a petrol station, therefore better bring some snacks from city centre. the room service menu is quite expensive, so we didn't try.
