Comfortable, convenient & friendly

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Location: Being near the station the area is not the best, but never felt uncomfortable. Plenty of cheap eating places around.
Close to the main station so easy access by train and plane and only a short walk to the centre. Friendly, helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast. The free mini-bar, with beer, water & coke replenished every day, and welcome drink were nice touches.

Comfortable hotel, convenient for city centre

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Comfortable room, good breakfast.
Cons: Lacks character. Typical big-chain hotel.
Location: Location is in a side-street near the station, a little rough around the edges, but fine for walking to city centre sights or using public transport.
This hotel provided a comfortable place to stay, conveniently close to the main station and the city centre sights.

Center of City-near train station and metro

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Very pleasant helpful staff. Two blocks from train and metro. Located near all transportation. Reasonable price for room. Onsite bar.
Cons: Hotel business computer does not print boarding passes. Reception suggested email passes and they would print at desk. Unnecessary aggravation.
Location: Go to the Italian Restaurant L' Osteria, about 15 minute walk from hotel. Pasta and pizza and beer.
Stayed one night at the beginning of our visit and one night at the end of our visit. Visited many places. Grey Line bus tour starts in front of train station. We flew to Munich on Lufthansa. Stayed in Munich then took the train to Salzburg and Vienna.

Excellently placed hotel

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Location
Location: Close to train station & a short walk to the shops & the centre.
Was really pleased with the hotel. Centrally based & close to the main railway station. However the location was in a quiet street so was a little haven of peace with a great beer garden to the rear. Staff were very friendly & couldn't be more helpful. Would definately recommend staying here. Thank you Mercure munchen Central

Nice, practical hotel. Friendly front desk. l

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Staff and location - 15 minutes walk to the centre of Altstadt.
No problem with the hotel. It was at par with what one would expect from Mercure. The room size was large enough and did not feel claustrophobic. As it is located near the rail station, the area is a bit busy.
