Close to the airport.

Some of the issues are just cultural in nature. No free wifi, you pay by the hour or pay 30Euro for in room wifi per 24 hours. Likewise you pay 8Euro per passenger for the airport shuttle. I reserved and paid for the room on line via Expedia. The first thing which occurred at check-in was an "up-sell" to a more quiet room, to certain services, etc. The free continental breakfast disappeared, but we could pay on a 2-for-1 24Euro for a breakfast buffet. Overall the place is nice, it is clean and it was in the right price range for what we needed, but I am not a fan.

really good airport hotel in Munich

It was a terrific place to stay just before returning home from a month-long visit of Europe. Very clean and attractive hotel with easy access by shuttle from and to the airport. Restaurant was fantastic but wait staff a bit frazzled with an early afternoon rush. Food was best in Europe. The Chef is to be commended. The Ratatouille was perfect. We will definitely stay there again.

Nice quiet tranquil hotel

Pros: Everything
Stayed here because it is close to our family. The hotel provided everything we needed. Really good quality breakfast. Staff polite helpful and friendly. The ambience is quiet and everything seemed to work like clockwork. The shuttle service provided was a big plus. Have stayed here before and would definitely stay again.

Love the ducks!

Pros: Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room good facilities, nice food, efficient airport shuttle
Cons: Cost of wifi is a bit too high, although at least it was a good connection.
Location: I don't think there is anything to do nearby. But no need as the hotel is well equipped.
Well done, Movenpick! In a world of grey, predictable services, they don't fail to deliver an experience that is not only pleasing but quirky and amusing. Arrived at Munich airport, found the bus stops for the hotels, realised that the Movenpick bus was scheduled to leave five minutes before I got there. They run every 30 minutes. Was just leaving the area when the bus turned up. The helpful driver saw me waving, made eye contact and waited for me. I was at the hotel in very quick time. Friendly and efficient service at reception, including the free loan of a valued adaptor for my UK electrical plugs. My room was comfortable and spacious, with a novel layout, and I was amused at the provision of a rubber duck for the bath. A silly little detail that made me smile and will stay with me. I enjoyed a light meal and drink in the bar area, went back to my room to catch up on emails and had a comfortable night. Took breakfast in the morning which was of a good quality and very efficient, ideal for people in a hurry. If I do have a criticism it is the cost of internet connection, which was excessive for the premium service. But at least it was a good quality signal that enabled me to skype and download files. I would definitely use this hotel again. It was friendly, professional, comfortable and stress free. And the quirky little duck put Movenpick in a league of their own.

Very Bad Hotel

They charge everything! Staff not very helpfull.... nothing is included! Fare from the airport and they charge you the shuttle to get there! better book at the Kempinsky next time!( in the Munich Airport)

Nice hotel 5 minutes from the Munich Airport.

Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Everything you may need before your overseas flight . The hotel charges extra 10 Euros for overnight parking and expect to pay 5 Euros for 3 hours of Internet use if you booked your stay through Expedia, free Internet service for direct booking. I did not appreciate the client discrimination based on booking source!

Good hotel for airport use

Ten minutes drive from Munich Airport, good reception and large room provided. We had an excellent dinner with a good wine list. Staff for dinner were excellent and attentive. Enjoyed our stay. Would use again if travelling via Munich.

It's miles from anywhere...

Pros: Nothing. Well, maybe the room staff were very good.
Cons: Start again. Be more friendly. Make customers happy. Add some value.
Location: Nothing. An airport. A business/trading estate. A couple of half decent restaurants a couple of miles away - long walk...
It's miles from anywhere and sat in the middle of a trading estate. It's a long walk from Halbergmoos centre - what there is of it.... It's external architectural style, facade and character is not similar to another venue that we visited at Dachau. The staff are, in the main officious, inflexible and very stern. The charges are ridiculous, everything appears to be extra, including car parking and most importantly wifi!!!! As we were there for 5 days and having to use their computer terminals opposite the reception desk, we heard numerous people complaining and getting very little redress. They also insist on swiping your credit/debit card when you arrive. You can interpret that as: 'we will charge you, even if you're not happy with the service we provide...' We heard one customer be told: 'it does not matter if you do not want to pay - we have your debit card details'. When we did pay for wifi, it was intermittent and were unable to send anything. Again many people in the bar area complained about the quality of wifi. The only reason people stay at this hotel is because it's convenient for the airport and is marketed as a 4*. Sorry, but having a praline chocolate on your pillow, a cycle machine and a small sauna does not warrant four stars.

Close to airport with shuttle every half hour.

Pros: The restaurant was lovely, the food was good and the staff friendly.
Cons: The bill paying!
Location: Close to airport and local bus to s-bahn and 45 minutes to centre of Munich.
Booked room with 2 single beds as accompanied by daughter but only offered double bed unless we paid 10 Euro upgrade. Bill paying was made far more difficult than it should have been so allow plenty of time if you have an aeroplane to catch.
