Good hotel for airport usePosted Feb 16, 2014
Ten minutes drive from Munich Airport, good reception and large room provided. We had an excellent dinner with a good wine list. Staff for dinner were excellent and attentive. Enjoyed our stay. Would use again if travelling via Munich.

It's miles from anywhere...Posted Jan 31, 2014
Pros: Nothing. Well, maybe the room staff were very good.
Cons: Start again. Be more friendly. Make customers happy. Add some value.
Location: Nothing. An airport. A business/trading estate. A couple of half decent restaurants a couple of miles away - long walk...
It's miles from anywhere and sat in the middle of a trading estate. It's a long walk from Halbergmoos centre - what there is of it.... It's external architectural style, facade and character is not similar to another venue that we visited at Dachau. The staff are, in the main officious, inflexible and very stern. The charges are ridiculous, everything appears to be extra, including car parking and most importantly wifi!!!! As we were there for 5 days and having to use their computer terminals opposite the reception desk, we heard numerous people complaining and getting very little redress. They also insist on swiping your credit/debit card when you arrive. You can interpret that as: 'we will charge you, even if you're not happy with the service we provide...' We heard one customer be told: 'it does not matter if you do not want to pay - we have your debit card details'. When we did pay for wifi, it was intermittent and were unable to send anything. Again many people in the bar area complained about the quality of wifi. The only reason people stay at this hotel is because it's convenient for the airport and is marketed as a 4*. Sorry, but having a praline chocolate on your pillow, a cycle machine and a small sauna does not warrant four stars.

Close to airport with shuttle every half hour.Posted Dec 18, 2013
Pros: The restaurant was lovely, the food was good and the staff friendly.
Cons: The bill paying!
Location: Close to airport and local bus to s-bahn and 45 minutes to centre of Munich.
Booked room with 2 single beds as accompanied by daughter but only offered double bed unless we paid 10 Euro upgrade. Bill paying was made far more difficult than it should have been so allow plenty of time if you have an aeroplane to catch.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years while living in the area. I found Moevenpick to be very expensive for the service offered. No hand towels or wash cloths - extremely small room (it was clean, though) - not one chair in the lobby (perhaps this is typical???). Food was quite good in the restaurant. Transfer to the airport costs money (should be included in the price of the room). Guess I got used to US service..... Sorry.

Convenient location to airportPosted Nov 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious and comfortable and the complimentary coffee/juice and croissants for those who had to leave early was a really nice touch.

Excellent location for early outbound flights. Not much around in terms of shops or restaurants. Takes about 45-60 minutes via bus and train to get to downtown center (MarienPlatz). In hotel restaurant acceptable but somewhat expensive. More TV channels than anyone could review.
Not bad...Posted Nov 4, 2013
Pros: Room was clean and cozy
Cons: Restaurant service was slow. they need much faster service. If you are going to charge for a shuttle it should run as advertised 30 mins not 1 1/2 hr
Hotel was full of ski teams for training. Very crowded and a few really rude guests...Restaurant was overpriced and quite slow. But, for a layover I've stayed in worse. For the money it's a pretty good deal just pay the 16euros for the ride and go. Room was comfortable and bathroom was clean... Also, the shuttle was 1 1/2 wait...Good Luck with the 30 mins deal...After being on planes all day I wasn't a happy camper to wait so long for their shuttle...

Good location if you need have an early flight. Reception was very helpful and even allowed us early check in. Easy bus and train link to Munich. Restaurant in hotel is good. Italian restaurant approx 500 meters walk offers great pasta and pizza. Hotel shuttle to airport for 8 Euros worked great for us.

Nice hotel close to airport.Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Staff friendly and accommodating. Clean and neat.
Cons: Either eliminate or lower parking fees.
Location: This hotel is clearly for those flying in and out of the airport. Downtown Munich is about an hour by train, and driving will take a long time also.
Our second time to stay at this hotel. Chosen for its close proximity to airport, for flying out the next day without a long drive. Staff was very helpful and seemed very concerned that we were pleased. Our first room had a strange odor, and my wife discovered a leak on the bathroom floor the next day. After waiting for some time, the staff changed rooms for us, and even offered to help us move our belongings. The second room was smaller, but also nice; seemed like if we had to move we could have been moved to at least the same size room. Not a big deal, but knowing that the hotel was far from full, it would seem logical. Staff in restaurant was very nice, and we especially like the choice of a large or small portion of some entrees. Do think that charging for parking in this area is a bit unrealistic.
