Convenient for UBahn

Posted Aug 27, 2014
Location: Munich's a great city for a family weekend break.
This is primarily a hotel for business people. We were on a family weekend break. The hotel is very convenient for the UBahn with a 10-15 minute ride to the city centre and a short walk to the English Gardens (about 5km walk to the city centre). There is a café, supermarket, pharmacy and bank nearby but virtually no restaurants so you have to travel a few stops on the U to get to a lively district. Some of the staff were great, others unfriendly and unhelpful. Overall a reasonable place to stay, but would probably choose to live nearer the city centre and in an area with more places to eat in future. Breakfast and wifi were not included in our package and we felt they were to expensive to add on.

Staff in Training?

Posted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Proximity to Ubahn and airport shuttle.
Cons: Front staff communication needs improving. Right hand doesn't know what left hand is doing.
Location: Ubahn gets you everywhere in reasonable time and it's very close to hotel but hotel isn't in midst of tourist clogged area.
When booking, Expedia recommended we advise the hotel if we expected to arrive late. In Berlin, the hotel staff advised Pullman we would arrive @ 9:30pm. Upon arrival, the Pullman front desk advised they didn't have my executive room but did have a standard room at a lesser rate. I expressed my disatisfaction, questioning why it was necessary to advise the Pullman of a late arrival if they weren't going to hold the room I reserved? The staff manager stepped in, asking if we would agree to stay in the standard room for one night and move to the executive room for the rest of our stay. We agreed. He also offered a free breakfast the next morning. The next morning, I advised the front desk staff we were leaving and that we would return, mid afternoon. I needed to again explain what happened the night before. It took quite awhile before notes regarding the agreement to move us could be found. I was given a room number but no key. We returned to the Pullman, were given keys to a different room than the room number we'd been advised of that same morning. In that room, we found our bags still hadn't been moved as we'd been advised. Upon checking out, my bill included charges for the breakfast, and an executive room rate for each night, including the night we had a standard room. Once again, after some explaining those charges were removed or corrected. Communication is lacking.

Great location

Great hotel. Unfortunately had booked a suite but expedia had only booked us a standard room and no suites available so now awaiting refund. Hotel front desk staff not the most welcoming. Wifi free if you are accor member otherwise very expensive and you pay per device. Breakfast good selection. Lufthansa airport bus stop literally 3mins walk and Norfriedof Ubahn stop 1 minute walk

Perfect for a holiday to munich

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Nothing to dislike
Cons: Speedier bar service and smell of drains in lower ground floor public toilets
Location: Quiet location but right next to U bahn supermarket and cheap cafe for breakfast. A few restaurants within walking distance as is an outdoor pool.
Arrived late as indicated to hotel everything as hoped for. Booked standard room which was spacious and well equipped on first floor overlooking courtyard. Very quiet when in room soundproofing excellent.

Very comfortable hotel

Posted Aug 3, 2014
Hotel is very well appointed, clean and comfortable. It is well located, easy to get into the city and very close to ten city motorways, but very quiet too. Room was very comfortable and had a balcony, as do most of the room. The restaurant was excellent although possibly slightly expensive, but we had some first rate meals. Overall a very pleasing hotel.

Excellent hotel for a weekend in the city

Posted Aug 1, 2014
Pros: Rooms, decor, cleanliness
Cons: Needs to have free Wifi!!! This is very outdated and lame. Breakfast wasn't good and is too expensive.
The Pullman was chic, clean, comfortable, and had a great bar that was open late at night. You have to pay for Wifi which is outdated (especially since it's free in the tiny guesthouses in Bavaria!). Note that breakfast is very expensive. We were charged a lot of money and given a pass to eat breakfast. When we arrived they were already cleaning up and there was nothing available. We had to rush around and grab food and it was very awkward and uncomfortable. After paying so much we were incredibly disappointed. If they are going to clean everything up before you can eat DON'T SELL IT at that time. Our advice: NEVER eat breakfast there. Go out and find something much more tasty in the city.

Good quality hotel close to train & bus

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The room was spacious and very comfortable. It had everything we needed including hair dryer, iron & ironing board. The shower was fantastic too.
Cons: It was 35 degrees during our stay, and we found the air conditioning in the room to be only slightly effective.
Location: There's a handy supermarket just round the corner, an Indian restaurant & a pub 5 minutes walk away. There's also a lido where you can swim & sunbathe
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, we were very pleased we stayed there. Access to the subway & buses is on the doorstep and it is easy to get anywhere in the city from here. the Lufthansa airport bus also stops just round the corner so transfers from the airport are convenient.

nice hotel

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: spacious room with a balcony
Cons: housekeeping
Location: in a quiet area.
very nice hotel, a little far from the main attractions but the train station makes it very convenient. the hotel staff was very friendly. the housekeeping staff would leave dirty glasses or not leave wash cloths but the room was basically very clean.

Hotel in easy reach of Munich centre

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Convenient location near a Ubahn and easy access to the airport on the Lufthansa bus. Good buffet breakfasts.
Cons: Although we had an executive suite we still had to pay for Wi-Fi access despite confusing adverts saying it was included!
Location: Munich is a fabulous city with lots of beer gardens and good quality food. Regional transport tickets for groups are very economical.
A very comfortable modern hotel near a Ubahn, 7 minutes from Munich centre. We stayed for 8 nights including very good buffet breakfasts which were constantly well stocked.
